Just ate here for dinner - absolutely amazing food with generous portions, a lovely pub atmosphere, and dog friendly! The epitome of a proper good English Pub! The staff are so lovely and friendly and made us feel so welcome. The drinks and food were fantastic. Will absolutely be eating here again and again! So thankful it’s reopened and come back better than ever - a proper village pub!
Great pub, thank god we have a decent place within a 5 min drive! Great staff and very friendly owners! Impressed and will be a regular here! Owner couldn’t do enough for us! Highly recommended.
Nice looking pub in a nice village. We visited for lunch based on google reviews, but weren't blown away. Food was okay but not special and service was average at best. No steak knife with the steak until we asked, no offer of condiments or sauces, no courtesy check. All basic stuff.
We stayed over in this beautiful pub. We were made to feel so welcome. Food was delicious, lovely fresh fish. Great beer, very well kept.
Nothing to fault for us. Stopped for lunch. Good value and sufficiently varied menu fixed price menu option. Food was delicious, good portions. Service was excellent and thoughtful.
My husband found this lovely village pub whilst working nearby and we decided to visit today, not disappointed at all. Friendly welcome, my cappuccino was not and the food was beautiful. We both had the pate, hubby had the fish & chips and I had the chicken, both beautifully cooked and presented nicely, it was nice to have an alternate veg like red cabbage instead of carrots & peas. The price was very reasonable and to top it all they are dog friendly. Definitely will be visiting again.
Today me, my sister, and Grandma drove to the Boot and Shoe Inn for the first time ever. Overall we had an excellent experience here, and i’m going to explain my two top tips for visiting here and why i have given it 5 stars First thing to be aware of when arriving here if you haven’t been before is that there is a drive beginning with a tunnel to the car park, which is essentially a turning head. It can be quite deceptive as to whether this car park is full or not from the road, and you would likely need to reverse back along the drive if it is full - i would recommend checking this on foot or parking on the roadside to avoid the need for reversing Second thing is the Boot and Shoe has outside toilets on the drive. I used it at the end of our visit and they are well kept/clean The third and final thing is that the food quality here is incredible, and not over priced! Service was excellent, I would throughly recommend this Pub to Anyone.
Great venue, very popular with this weather. Issues with food availability and steaks but what we had was brilliant. Staff great and apologies were generous and genuine. Will return.
Popped in today on a drive by, a warm welcome and great table near the log fire. Pushed the boat out and had a pizza between us, glad I did as we struggled to eat it all ! First time I've not had to fight the wife over my bowl of chips too. I can well recommend this pub and I am sure we will be having another drive by in the near future
This has to be one of the best pubs we have been to in a long time. Beautifully renovated and with a fab beer garden, plus a small children's play area. Due to the current situation the menu only had pizzas but these where amazing, so my husband and kids informed me. I'm vegan so could only have the wedges but they were delicious too. Staff were super friendly. We will definitely be back and look forward to the new menu.
