I almost gave them a 2 star but my complaint "might possibly be" just 1or 2 ill fated employees instead of management BUT I believe it must be the rule more than the exception: Ex: salad-the lettuce often looks brown & old & terrible, unappealing and not fresh! I've brought it to the salad bar servers attention AND I requested fresh lettuce. Sometimes they act like you're asking for gold instead of lettuce & act like the cost is coming out of their own pocket and they have a bad attitude (but some react normal & ok)-but MULTIPLE TIMES  they would just LIGHTLY spread a THIN layer of fresh lettuce just on the very top of the tray AND they do not throw away the old! So if you aren't right there 1st to get the fresh you lucked out! And many seniors can't see lettuce is old. The salad bar price went UP but then we can't get fresh lettuce?! And usually the chicken is stale & old if u go at a off hour. But they will sometimes more readily replace the chicken with fresh ( yet while not discarding the old leathery chicken either). All this needs to be brought to attention & improved. Please!

Food was ok. Chicken was pretty dry. Only one waitress who had 4-5 tables. Asked us to bear with her as she was the only one, but there were 4 others on staff that mostly just stood around the whole time. Just figured instead of waiting for 10 minutes for our drinks, the hostess or the guy whose job seemed to be to stand at the buffet and stir thing, could have brought 2 glasses of sweet tea to the table?

Very disappointed.  I hadn't eaten at a Shoney's in years and had fond memories of the buffet.  I should have known that at prime dining time there was only a handful of folks milling about.  The buffet was sparse and the offerings were ok at best.  Service was adequate however the place seemed to need some care. It's too bad.

First and foremost, we went around 6 pm with my family. They had only one of the two steaks thawed for our dinner. The lettuce on the salad bar was wilted and I'm afraid a lot of what they had on the salad bar wasn't tested for temperature because the cottage cheese was warm. The steaks (ordered medium) were sent out well done with some medium rare spots. Overall , the waitress was alright, but the food was not alright.
