This is the first place I been to where they put paper over the toilets that say "sanitized" plus the water pressure depending on room is moderate to great. Another plus is the water stays hot. The rooms are kinda small but the price is definitely worth it for a quick over night on a budget. Looking for a place close to Detroit but don't want to be in the city, this is a clean safe area. Easy on and off for I-94.

Supposedly new owners, all they did was raise prices   $ 10 extra for early check in for a room that was supposedly already cleaned, no hot water, no toilet paper and one broken bar of soap. Oh and after 20 minuets in the room to discover " all these improvements"  I was told there are NO REFUNDS. As this was expensed by my company I'll let them deal with it. WHAT A SAD BUSINESS TO BE INFLICTED ON A NICE TOWN LIKE ST. CLAIR SHORES. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

UPDATED REVIEW:: The manager contacted me and did try and make it right. I was moved to another room after he inspected it himself. I admit I was quite surprised at the timely response. Appears to be a step in the right direction. I wanted to mention this, fairs fair.

I come her often to get away from the kids nice clean rooms friendly staff no smell no bugs they will be remodeling soon

DON'T STAY HERE!! THE CHEAP PRICE IS NOT WORTH IT!

I recently moved out of state and came back to visit friends and family in the area. I knew I wouldn't be in my Hotel Room very much so I chose The Shore Pointe Motor Lodge. The price was cheap and after reading the reviews, I thought it would be a good choice. If there is a good review about this place, it's not true! Everything is old and very outdated! There was an old TV from 1985 in the room, so I was unable to use my Game System. The TV barley worked and only had about 10 different channels, most of which were fuzzy and unclear. The heater worked but it was all beat up and kicked out a burnt smell (which added to the slight stench the room had to begin with). I did not check out the room completely when I first walked in which was a BIG mistake! On night 3 of my stay, I went to put some water in the fridge and saw that there was a Pizza Box in there from a previous occupant with MOLDY PIZZA inside the box! Clearly housekeeping isn't a priority at The Shore Pointe Motor Lodge! I foolishly threw the Pizza Box away without taking any pictures. Then the following night, my last night, I woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and I FIND A ROACH ON THE GROUND!  With only a few more hours until check out, I decided to just sleep with the lights on and tough it out. I told the staff and a manager about my experience when I checked out; they thought I was Lying and told me to have a nice day! The amount unprofessionalism at this place is Unbelievable! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!
