Wish I could see it in the spring when the full falls are flowing. Still stunning!! Pay per car to get in then you can also go to the lake beach/natural swimming pool as well. Worth a little detour on any road trip!! Also note you only have a semi small viewing pad so if it is crowed you will wait to get a photo. Wish you could go lower

Not a lot of frills, but the harrowing drive down into the canyon has beautiful little waterfalls along the way to distract you from the drop-off and then of course the big Shoshone Falls themselves are at the bottom. There's several hiking trails and picnic tables and big gorgeous trees that offer wonderful shade. It is very hill-y, though, so not very stroller or wheelchair friendly, especially going down the steps to the lookout for the Falls; no ramp and they're narrow. There is a gift shop by the parking lot, so you can press a penny or buy a magnet that shows you were there. Keep in mind it is a *National* Park, so the Idaho State Park sticker you get at the DMV technically doesn't get you free access (though she totally still let us go in). The entry fee is ~$5 and they only take cash!

Loved the view of the falls, and the park is really pretty. This would be a great place for a picnic. The gift store reminded me of something out of the 1970s, and that includes the souvenirs it was selling. It seems like a great place to bring kids to run around.

Located near Twin Falls, ID - a few miles East. It costs just a few $ to get in the park. Yet for your money you get restroom facilities and a nice park to picnic at near the falls - as well as nice walkways along the falls that also project out over the water so you can great views. To get to the falls you drive down a pretty steep road that winds down the cliff face. It is best to visit in the early spring when the water is really flowing - although it can be a bit over-crowded on the weekends. They are spectacular falls when they have lots of water - not so great later in the summer when the flow is down. There is also a small lake above the falls that provides a children's play place and swimming in the summer.

Great stop, only a short detour. Very busy during summertime. I was surprised to see this splendid waterfall, hidden in the canyon. You'd never know it's out there, driving on the highway. Only a few dollars per car.
