Very disappointed with a mechanical oversight and coverup from their technicians! I purchased a yellow 2001 Mustang Saleen from this dealership. I drove over 3 hours just to get to the store. The car only had 12k miles on it. I could smell oil burning the entire trip back home. Not thinking much about it (because it only had 12k miles), I was thinking maybe the oil smell was due to not being driven that much. The smell continued to get worse. My local mechanic said the valve cover gasket was leaking very bad. The loss of integrity with this dealership is this: my mechanic said there was an extremely thick layer of silicon around the valve cover which essentially showed them trying to "mask" the oil leak. Upon signing all my paperwork, this information was not disclosed to me. This is against the law and could have major consequences should I pursue this. It is costing me a couple of hundred dollars to get this fixed. To all future customers dealing with this dealership, before making a purchase ensure you have someone inspect the vehicle before making the purchase. If this happened to me, it is bound to continue to happen to other customers as well. I still have the text message from the salesman that confirmed there was nothing mechanically wrong with the car and that it was flawless. Very disappointing!

Most deceitful set of people I've ever met. They will lie straight through their teeth in order to trick you into purchasing a warranty you don't want or need. My husband is a mechanic and told them over and over again we did not want their warranty...Dennis, Finance Manager, basically told us the APR is determined by the Warranty and by getting it, it will lower our interest rate. That was a blatant lie. He basically strong armed us into getting it, fortunately we have a family member who works at a dealership, and explained how we were basically given a horrible deal. I have great credit, 4k down and ended up unknowingly paying sticker price for a car. They are very slick and use every tactic and play on words they can find. When in the office, the screen is tinted so you aren't able to see all the info being entered into the computer (claiming to work on a deal). They will try to tire you out, so you will give in and say yes, just to be done with it. Fortunately we were able to go back and cancel the warranty. Stay away or if you do, please come with someone familiar with the car buying process because they will take advantage of you.

I bought a 2010 honda odyssey and shortly after the warrenty ended, wouldn't you know the van started falling apart. I now have a sliding door that they want 1000 dollars to fix. Guess I'll only have one door with two small kids.

Wow! I purchased a new car from Shottenkirk last Friday and don't have nearly enough good things to say about them! I worked with Gerald Johnson for my purchase (and spoke with Jeff Green a little bit) and he really went above and beyond to make sure I had a good experience. Ben did my financing & warranty paperwork and exceeded my expectations as well. I'd love to share how these men came together to shape my first purchase of a brand new car. To start off, I am a woman under 30 (who really doesn't know much about buying cars) so I was a little bit weary about going to a dealership alone. Last Thursday my boyfriend accompanied me up there and it turns out, he wasn't even needed. Gerald walked me through everything and I was able to return the next day by myself to finish up the purchase. I was amazed at the quality of service offered to me. He knew I did my homework on my chosen vehicle and was very communicative about features I didn't find in my research. He respected what I knew and all of the hours I put in before I came to the dealership, and I really appreciated that. I would also like to note that I did visit another Honda dealership the next day, just to compare prices and look at another color of my vehicle and my experience there was absolutely terrible. They tried to sell me (I sold myself before I even left my house!), then wouldn't let me in the room to talk about what I wanted, they were rude and made assumptions that just weren't true; I ran back to Shottenkirk! When I got back up to Cartersville, Gerald met me at the dealership and helped me with my paperwork. We made sure that I was getting a good deal for my trade-in and that I wasn't paying over my monthly budget... or for too long of a term! Once we finished up on the initial, he brought me back to Ben who really went through my financing options and showed me what I was looking at in terms of a warranty. He was fantastic. What really made the entire experience stand out though, especially compared to the last time that I purchased a vehicle, was the dealership as a whole. Everyone loved where they worked and it showed. I was impressed with them and it made it absolutely worth the drive from Bremen. I can't wait to go back to have my vehicle serviced for the first time and see these guys again. One last special shout out to Gerald because I know that he made sure I not only had a great purchase experience, but that I'm also going to have a great ownership experience. I will never visit any other dealership - Shottenkirk is stuck with me for life!
