Story

One of Boulder's longest standing businesses, Silver & Gold Barbers and Stylists is a barber salon that offers family friendly services, providing cuts, color and styling services to men, women, and children. Backed by nearly one hundred and twenty-five years of combined experience, our team of licensed barbers and cosmetologists excels in clipper cutting, precision scissor cutting, texturizing and layering, as well as the latest in coloring and highlighting techniques. We pride ourselves on knowing the current styles and trends in hair fashion. Our men's cuts include a complimentary eucalyptus steam towel and a straight razor shave on the neckline. We also offer the very popular five minute Redken Camo Color, to minimize and blend in grey hair, for a subtle, natural looking change. For the ladies we include a light blow dry and basic style, with extensive styling available at additional cost. If you're considering a color change, our colorists will gladly help you find the right shade to compliment your skin tone and personal style. We also offer brow and lip waxing services.

Good place. I highly recommend Laurie or any other stylist. Theyre good (at least from when I went) and also they’re nice, and if there’s a long wait time you can ask for a Starbucks gift card! Recommended place especially if you’re a student.

I used to have a really long beard (9 months) and wanted to just have a small tiny trim so it looked more neat. Instead I got 3 months of beard cut off from the male employee. Horrible. Thanks for that. Never going there back.

My hair was cut by an African American. I told him to cut a little short and he did. However, when I watched myself in the mirrow, I had to say that was the worst hair cut I had never got. Each part of hair was separated and there wasn't any connection between them. He just cut my hair depend on his feeling. Finally, I asked him to give me a crew cut and I will leave, but he didn't like to cut anymore. I was rage about his attitude and my hair cut. A child could even give a better hair cut than he did. Then, I paid $20 and left. On the street, I had to always kept my helmet to cover ugly hair cut and looked for another hair salon to fix my hair.

First review I have ever written. One of the worst hair cuts I have ever gotten. I walked in and asked the hair stylist if she did walk ins. She responded sharply with "do you have cash?" I told her I wanted a trim up nothing much. She responded by saying in a condescending tone " you won't make me recut this if I don't use a buzzer right...?" The hair stylist left me with a lopsided haircut. I will never return here again.

Came into this shop for the first time and got the best haircut I can remember. Cool retro atmosphere and friendly barber. Highly recommend this place.
