Loved ones beware!  Silver Hill operates for the elite, and even if you have insurance I absolutely would not recommend Silver Hill ever.  I have unfortunately had to hospitalize my son twice now for bipolar, and as anyone who has ever experienced such an event knows how terrifying, heart breaking, and desperate families are to ensure their loved ones are treated.  By treatment I mean with compassion, respect, understanding, empathy and quite frankly time.  This hospital is outrageous and their finance and billing department questionable at best.  Do not sign any contracts unless you are prepared to forfeit tremendous amounts of money.  I was charged $9,275 non-refundable deposit that is a lot of money for receiving absolutely nothing for it!  In all good conscience this place needs a major re-think, and total over haul on billing.  Mental illness is an illness and should be funded and supported by the absolute best instead you are either forced into a state hospital or these so called private facilities that bleed off families at their lowest point.  Silver Hill would not need to fund such expensive lawyers if they operated patient first vs profit first.

Greatest place! I went here in 2010! Everyone was so kind. They would crush my meds and put it in a pudding cup for me because I can't swallow pills. I would 1000% recommend Silver Hill.

The staff of the Acute Care Unit is top notch, friendly, kind, and compassionate.  My Family member gets great care here.  There are lots of rules and the place is a little austire, but the food is decent and the environment is better than any other such facility I have visited.

I had a horrible and traumatic experience here and was treated horribly by both patients and staff. If you don't have $40,000 for the program, plus another $100,000 to bribe staff to treat you with respect, don't come near this hospital.

I put myself there of my own free will.  It was wonderful.  The staff and the whole process was exactly what I needed at the time and I was and am grateful for the entire experience.  Though it was very expensive, my insurance covered part of it so I was lucky in that respect.  Over All, I am worth it and it was money well spent.
