I stayed here on a business trip. It was an enjoyable experience. It's appeal is the historical look and feel but, honestly, it just felt old to me. The suite was big (about the size of a 1 bedroom apt) but not as fancy as some hotel rooms. The grounds are clean and there's a nice golf course next door. However, it is a fair distance from the wineries and restaurants so you'll definitely need a car.

The condos were huge: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a spacious living room. The neighborhood was quiet and parking was plentiful. Back patio led to a golf course, but we didn't have time to check it out. Kitchen was well stocked with cups and utensils. Beds were clean and comfortable. Showers were awesome: immediate hot water and strong water pressure.

We enjoy going for coffee at the Market at Silverado. Nice Starbucks coffee, and all kinds of goodies, bread, sandwiches, snacks. Anything you could think of, in premium brands. Plus the outdoor seating has a fire pit, with several heaters. The view is lovely. And the resident turkeys may come around for crumbs.

Overall lovely location! The valet's were exceptional and the rooms and balcony views were amazing. The front desk staff did seem a little disconnected however,  as well as the bar staff. Seems like a place where locals hangout, so being a visitor I didn't feel the welcome vibes. Could have just been an off day.

The resort itself was great. I went to the spa and received a massage. They were very professional and it was and wonderful treatment. We stayed at the cottages near the driving range and the rooms have conjoining doors that you can get access to your neighbors room if say you were rooming with people you know. We did not know our neighbors and they came in at 1 am drunk and still wanting to party. We had to call security to have them quiet down. You would think with how upscale the resort is that your neighbors wouldn't act like they were in college. This is the only reason for 3 stars. Having to get up early to leave the next day. I didn't feel like I got the rest and relaxation I was paying for.
