I went there with my wife after recommended by my brother who lives in Denver CO. We're not disappointed indeed. Delicious food, esp. Bakso Komplit 1st, Empek Empek 2nd, and nasi padang 3rd. I haven't tried the bakmie yet. Friendly waitress and not crowded tables with clean place. We will visit again if we go to LA.
Food: Ordered their curry laksa, nasi lemak, pad see ew, young chicken, and fried calamari. I didn’t see a lot of people get this online but the calamari was really good. They way they fried it made the batter light and crispy. The pad see ew was good but the beef was a little chewy for me-not that big of an issue for me. The beef of the nasi lemak was so tender and juicy. It was served with a fried boiled egg, dried-crispy fish and shrimp. I highly recommend this dish along with the curry laksa. For the laksa you have the option to pick rice, vermicelli or egg noodles. The young chicken wasn’t so bad either. I’d love to come back to try their other dishes. Service: Staff was really caring and friendly. You feel like you’re at your grandma’s house because of how well you’re being taken care of. Side notes: DESSERT WAS FREE :D They accept card with a minimum of $10. They are a small cafe with a mini-mart. They have daily specials too so look out for that.
The food is pretty tasty. The employees are nice.Food: 3/5
Cool, chill place. Phenomenal food. Staff is awesome. Drop by and get your grub on!!!!!Food: 4/5
It's a beautifully arranged restaurant. I like the setting and spacious indoor seating. The staff who sitted our table was great and helpful, fast and thoughtful. Parking is also easy. Food taste good although not as authentic as I expected it to be. It's a 4.5 but I would just choose 5 instead. Hopefully they will improve the authenticity of the taste for tagging Singkawang as their name. One last thing: their restroom is super cozy.
Come here to try their mixed rice and it is good. I didn't expect they have choipan. Choipan is a dumpling/potsticker look alike Hakka food. I still remember how it taste like and their mixed rice and choipan taste exactly what i ate when i was a kid. I will definitely come back and eat at this place again when i miss indonesian food
This place is very unassuming, but man is the food good! My wife and I love this place, particularly for their Curry Laksa! It's so good! We also really like their shrimp cakes - so crispy and delicious! Today we also had one of their new dishes - their Nasi Padang! Oh my - it was like being back in southeast Asia! Rice, chicken, beef, with their green sambal sauce! This dish had a great spice to it!
One of the few Indo-Thai restaurant in the area; honestly it's more of a resto vibe than a cafe. We came over dinner and ordered the mini-lumpia 10pcs rolls and Pad Thai veggie. Food was tasteful and flavorful. However, during the course of our meal we saw a tiny black hair strand on the the pad Thai. Hence, we didn't finish the food. I'm sure its an isolated case but deeply disappointed nevertheless. On the positive side, their service was moderately fast. Prices are fair. Menu is somewhat limited from main Entree e.g., No Nasi Rendang to Appetizer. Staff were attentive, amiable and professional. Ample of parking spot. Overall, I will give it a try again and hopefully they will rectify the unsanitary issue.
It was worth the visit. I've never eaten this kind of food, but it was great! The people were very friendly and we didn't wait long for our food. They also sell a small selection of imported foods. Vegetarian options: Many of the dishes have a tofu option.
Our first time here @Singkawamg Cafe we ordered the Spicy Basil Chicken with eggs, shrimp cake and stir fried ong choy. umm was soo good and the servers are really great
