I went in today for their breakfast baguette, #18, and it was simply delicious. The baguette was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Such great flavor and amazing service. Food: 5/5
Nice and quick place to grab a bite to eat if you have craving for good Vietnamese sandwiches. The charbroiled pork is excellent. They also have rice and noodle dishes.
I got premade spring rolls with pork, chicken and shrimp as well as an egg Bahn mi. I spent $11. Both were delicious and stuffed well. The baguette was so good and fresh. They must be made in house of picked up locally. Highly recommend this place for a quick lunch.
It's one of my 5/5 bánhmìchelin star rated eateries; their bánh mì are one of my favorites in SGV. I ordered their baguettes for my daughter's birthday party for a sandwich making station; it really pleased our crowd. The restaurant is cash only; operated by all women staff; take out only at the moment. Fyi, I've only had their chicken bánh mì baguette, many many times.
badservice. manager no service but wanted to tips, no manners to speak loudly to customers She the one answer the phone for the order and she the one to delivery the food everyday she the who answer the phone saying she manager we only order for coworker I say I pay u next time 25 cent she still yelling we our company order from them all the time everyday my cousin bulding my coworker gave me exact change $6.75 I didn't bring money out if I did I will give but on the phone she say 6.75 she the delivery lady . I never order from them again. Only asking to the order to delivery not ordering only one what the hell yelling at customer
Their bread or bagget is so yummy. I typically get number 18 on my way to work. Today I tried 46 and wow was it tasty. I highly recommend this place. Very humble people and they work so hard, great cooks. Their buns are so soft and the sausage meat inside is super tasty, a must try.
Hue Thai is just one of those small Vietnamese fooderies in a small strip mall, but if you're looking for a delicious scrambled egg sandwich in the morning or any time they make one of the better in the San Gabriel Valley. They offer two sizes: one on a fresh baked crispy-crusted French roll, the other larger one on a fresh baked French baguette. Both are served with the slightly pickled vegetables and fresh jalapenos that are the delightful standard of bahn mi. Located on the northwest corner of Lower Azusa at Peck Rd in El Monte, next to a Shell gas station, we have been going here for years to grab a bahn mi sandwich. The biggest drawback is that the restaurant takes CASH ONLY. But the food is inexpensive and good.
I've been coming here regularly, almost about once a week. I can absolutely say that I am addicted to their Banh Mi Dac Biet, just because of how high quality and tasty their bread is combined with their meats. Its unexplainable and just needs to be given a chance. Lets start this review off by the location. The store is actually pretty easy to find because it sits in front of the plaza and can easily be seen when going North on Peck Rd or West on Lower Azusa. It can also be easily seen going East on Lower Azusa but is a bit inaccessible as it would require a U-turn to get in. Its pretty hard to see going South on Peck Rd just because of the Gas Station that blocks it. Getting into the plaza is a whole other story. Like I mentioned before, unless you are turning left while going North on Peck Rd or going West on Lower Azusa, it is pretty hard to find so stay wary when venturing here. The parking here is plentiful. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious. In terms of menu and food selection, there are things that they set out, like egg rolls, meat pies that I have seen there but not consistently. They also have some Com Rice dishes out as well as deserts. I have also tried some of their thai food selections but theyre pretty mediocre. What I would like to talk about the most though is their baguettes. I have seen before come here before just to get the baguettes and of course the baguette sandwiches. The baguette itself is made in-house and is extremely crunchy and buttery. They use the same baguettes in their banh-mi of course. I always order the Dac Biet Special which comes with two types of meats and their pickled radish and carrot, jalapenos, and cilantro. There is also a pate spread and light mayonnaise on the sandwich which all comes together nicely with everything in the sandwich itself. Of course, most of what I said can be easily customizable and there are other meat choices. My only concern is the COVID-19 guidelines being followed/enforced here. I have seen some employees not wearing a mask or wearing it only around the mouth, not covering the nose area. I have also seen some customers coming in without a mask and still being served. This, of course is not their fault but it is their job to enforce these rules. I hate to take off twos star for that but just because safety is a huge issue right now I'm afraid I will have to start incorporating that into my reviews from now on and will be based solely on my observations. I can update this review if I see that based on my observations that there is an improvement.
Restaurant was clean and comfortable. Prices were reasonable. I had the Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp and my wife had red curry. Both were average. Workers looked a little sloppy in their attire.
After living in Asia for over four years and experiencing great cuisine throughout the Asia Pacific region, it was a pleasure to once again taste the authentic flavors that are offered at Hue Thai. The soup base with my noodles was perfect and there was a generous portion of meat included. Prices are very reasonable and service is friendly.
