Siouxland Federal Credit Union started in 1967, we currently have over 18,000 members and assets of 180 million. There are 6 locations in the Tri-State region and membership is open to those who work/live in the following areas: Union County, SD; Woodbury & Plymouth County, IA; Dakota, Dixon, Cuming Counties in NE, or within a 10-mile radius of Norfolk, NE.

I have been banking here for 25 years and they are as friendly today as they were when I opened my first account. No matter what location or whoever you speak with Siouxland Federal is the best. I have used others for business reasons and geographically living out of the area. Nobody compares to the service you receive at SFCU. Ryan Waite has helped me with 4 houses, and at least 10 cars. Seriously. They are the best.

Tellers and loan officers are great. Thing I don't like is if you call a different branch they're not on same page as my SSC local branch. There's a failure to communicate. I called one branch to change address and was told have to come in (totally understandable) I call another branch and they changed it. (SSC BRANCH VS DD BRANCH) ... ALSO don't like how they forced us into monthly fee to have chip in card(hate that chip) i have a password on my acct.. sometimes they have me verify it sometimes they don't. (That's annoying when they don't.. I put pw on there) also Bern trying to be paperless for a yr but they say i am and still stand out a paper statement ( hahaha annoying but kinda funny) i have been a customer for 20 yrs. Maybe more... for the first time Ever i messed up and sent wrong amount of money to wrong acct. Had it fixed I less than 12 hrs and got a ins fee.. they do not forgive or work with you At All. My checking acct at Premier that I've had for 6 months did but not Siouxland Federal CU.. honestly want to change all to Premier but I'm to lazy and busy.

I spoke to Monica and Cindy, both ladies were very unprofessional. I am taking my money elsewhere. I called asking why one day the app for online banking was not working. Monica spoke over me, spoke to me like she did not care about the app not working and left me on hold for an extended period of time. Then when I called Cindy her boss, she also spoke over me, was not helpful, did explain to delete and redownload app, which is great but I was not happy with how Monica was not helpful at all, was rude and now her boss was the same way, Cindy started to chuckle, I asked is this funny to you, having to explain why you have poor customer service and how upset I am in not getting anywhere with your the previous representative? I told her I was closing my accounts and going to a bank that treated their members with respect, who tried to do their best in helping them with their banking needs, who did not interrupt when being asked a question. I had both Monica and Cindy, her boss, both speak over me, and Cindy chuckle at how upset I was. I asked her is it funny I can't access my bank account and now being annoyed by you not helping me? Is that what a professional banker does? When a customer is frustrated and you chuckle at their situation! Now that is not right, and I told her I would be over to close both accounts and take my business elsewhere. I have never been treated like this by my bank! Ridiculous, women!
