Story

Regional history, historic automobiles and hands-on science are major features of the Sloan Museum. Dramatic settings, video programs and hundreds of artifacts and photographs portray the area’s tumultuous 20th century history in the Flint and the American Dream exhibit. Traveling exhibits fill the temporary gallery with a variety of educational and entertaining displays focusing on science, technology, or history. The Buick Automotive Gallery presents major automotive exhibits featuring vehicles from the Sloan fleet of over 100 Flint-built carriages and automobiles.

There's so much to see and learn here! Excellent place to take the kids. Excellent gift shops as well as a Cozy coffee shop! The historic museum also offers a wide variety of entertainment that includes Art, Arts and crafts, Movies and Games. There's almost always a special event to look forward to! Excellent location with a library, planetarium and theater right next door!

Unbeatable place to go with you guys children. Fun And unique play areas mixed with Flint history. Exhibits change frequently so there is always something new!

Was kind of pricey to walk through the museum. Always a great time walking around looking at the history of this town. Took my daughter to see Clifford.

Sloan museum is a wonderful place to take your young children. The continuously changing exhibits offer new opportunities for discovery not associated with your electronic lifestyle, which I love! The Clifford exhibit currently on display is fantastic for the little kids.

We happened to go in between exhibits, so there was a big chunk of the museum that was empty. I have a membership so it is free for me to get in, but if I had paid full price for entry I would have been pretty upset. That being said this museum even without the exhibit has a lit of Flint and Michigan history in it. They show the building of the auto industry in Flint the fight for civil rights and so much more.
