The service department is their biggest downfall! How do you screw up a basic oil change?.. My husband has also had several bad experiences with the service dept and getting things done correctly. Also I am a big supporter of our Local heros like the Fire Department, Police, & EMS! After finding out how one of our local volunteer Departments were treated by Lee Smart and one of the service managers, Smarts will no longer have mine or my husband's (a fire fighter) business! If you can't support our local heros we sure won't be supporting you!

I carried a Brush truck from Highway 15 Volunteer Fire Dept. to Smarts body shop on Dec 26th to have a $1500.  Scratch repaired. The manager was told at that time that the truck was full of water because we also wanted to get the front end aligned with the weight.  He was also told numerous times that we needed the truck back in service and to call when it was ready so we could pick it up. On the 27th he was again reminded to call, and again gave him my cell number. Apparently the truck was finished on Friday the 29th, and instead of calling to get the truck picked up, they parked it outside over the holiday weekend in below freezing temp. I stopped by on Jan. 2nd to find the truck ready and parked outside. I stated that I hope it’s not frozen. They said they didn’t think of that. It was frozen, and the cost to repair was over $1800. I waited on Smarts manager to give me an answer for more than two weeks, got nothing. So on Jan 22nd I went to Lee Smart in person. He would not take responsibility, and suggested we file it on our insurance. If they would have called when the truck was ready none of this would have happened, and they are definitely at fault. If Smarts will do this to a Volunteer Fire Dept. they will do it to anyone. Also watch the service dept. if you have used it, you already know.

I wouldn't trust these people to change my oil.  My car was in their shop for over six months.  They claimed they put a new motor in it but the 'new' motor mysteriously had the same problems as the old motor and had to be fixed again less than six months later.
