Super job by Rod and his assistant moving our household goods from our apartment to storage.  This is the second time we have used Smart Move.  They are prompt, professional, and very organized.  They finished both our moves well under estimated time and under quote.  I highly recommend Smart Move to anyone in the bay  area making a local move -- they will definitely treat you right.

Thanks to Smart Move,  moving during the holidays was easy and smooth! Me and my husband were stressed about having 2 closings in one day but Smart Move were able to held our contents and deliver it the next day. Such a relief! The crew was on time and didn't waste any time in getting busy. Our move was completed with no damages or issues. Thanks again!

I don't often take the time to write reviews but this one had to be done! Every once in awhile I receive exceptional service and today was one of those days! Smart Move went above and beyond from the very beginning! I had numerous issues with the closing on our new home and had to reschedule 3 times! Each time the office was able to accommodate me! Hannah and Giselle were so helpful in providing answers to all my questions and all the paperwork we needed for the new condo building. When the crew arrived, early I should mention, they were all ready to work! They were polite, patient and incredibly fast! We have moved 3 times in 10 years and this was the first time nothing was broken! My wife and I can't say enough great things...hats off to a first class company!!! Would recommend to everyone!

I called Smart Moves for an estimate. Mark came out and did a walk through of the house and quoted me a price. When move day came, the movers said they did not bring a large enough truck and had to leave after one was full and come back with another and for more money of course.
They kept my belongings in a storage unit until I was ready for them. Then I received another bill for an additional storage unit. More money once again due to Marks misquote.
Finally it was move day into my new house. They lost the hardware to put my bed together and said they would order the correct bolts and have them shipped next day. It has now been 3 weeks and several phone calls since my move and they still have not come through with the hardware to put my bed together.
In addition they damaged my bedroom furniture to the point where there is a chunk of wood broken from my headboard.
They also lost the marble top to my fire pit.
So far, the only response I have received from them is "You need to put in a claim" which I did and have not even received a response.
Do not use this company if you value any of your belongings.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY. 
THEY ARE THE WORST IN THE COUNTRY. 
For starters They did not wrap furniture pictures TVs dishes. I have had multiple items broken. I have had two legs broken off of my sofa. I’ve had some heirloom ceramic pieces broken all to piece.  They did not wrap furniture, pictures, TVs, & dishes. I had items taken from me. They were not return until I called and asked for them to be returned.   I have waited for over three weeks for someone to come and repair my sofa. One of their workers took my refrigerator and said that he was buying it from me and that he would bring me my money in 3 weeks. I have called and called him and left multiple messages and he has never paid me for the refrigerator.  They are hateful and rude. The only nice one there is Mark and he don’t deserve to work there. This moving company don’t deserve the one star I gave them but  I gave it because of Mark.
