Easy to shop for what you need or want, rarely a wait to get checked out. Clean, well stocked and organized. GREAT Pharmacy department. Convenient gas station on property including diesel! Manager is responsive to any concerns.

Mostly a good grocery store. A bit light on sustainable food fare, but generally good availability and pricing and the staff is great. Now if the company would stop replacing its wonderful cashiers with computers, it would be awesome.

Always made to feel welcome in this store. They have plenty of handicapped carts and they keep them charged and ready. They bend over backwards to help you, and they have the best prices in town! Kroger and Private Selection brands are as good, and many times better, than the national brand.

Super convenient and close to my house anytime i think of a house item im in need Smith's is always first choice shopping. General grocery, pharmacy even banking with US bank and dont let me forgot i also get my gas there, its definitely a win win.

My favorite place to get groceries. They have fun carts for kids - there's a race car, a fire truck & a police car. In the fruit section they have a special stand where you can choose either a banana, a mandarin orange or an apple for your kid to eat while he's "driving" the cart. If you have a Smith's card the prices are great. There's always special deals & I find prices for a lot of things I get to be cheaper than Wal Mart. For instance, a gallon of orange juice at Walmart is currently around $5, but it's only $3.50 at Smith's. Milk is cheaper too. Of course some things are pricier - I'll go to Walmart for things like diapers, wipes & medicine. I find it's mostly the non grocery items that are slightly higher. The Smith's brand (Kroger) generic food items are fantastic! I actually prefer their generic stuff over name brand some times. For instance, their honey roasted peanuts blow Planter's away, IMO. They also have French bread pizza for less than a dollar that's better than Stouffer's. Oh, and don't get me started on the mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches! You also get points for shopping there that gives you a discount on gas. I think you always get .03 cents off a gallon as a card holder, & I'm not sure exactly how the point system works, but it's nice to go get gas & find out you're getting .10 off per gallon. The service there is also always excellent! I've never left there unhappy. Best grocery store in Carson City, hands down for perks, prices, bonuses & service.
