New to town and need a spot? First off they got a thick a burger and you know what that means, it's harder to cook "right" (I'm trying not to use the word well for good reason)... and gosh darn it they did it. End to end cooked great. However, that's not my thing. I would rather have a little less burger meat, maybe a little more pork , maybe another onion ring. I ordered coleslaw on the side to add. (I ended up with that and fries, Thank you!). Funny thing is that I liked there sweet and what not sauce better than their tangy and I'm normally a tangy guy. Nonetheless, the staff was friendly. The environment was great for me as someone just visiting. Although, it seems like the stools were in short demand and the chairs with back were in higher demand, and I must say that after spending hours trying to figure out where I would be best suited to eat... it would've been nice to lean back a bit. If I make it back out to this area (and I wouldn't mind doing so), this spot would be somewhere for me to check out. So I can only give four stars out of preference, but they got all the ingredients (and maybe for others) to be a five starer.

I found the Smoke House on the Find Me Gluten Free app on my phone and I absolutely was not disappointed! Oh my goodness, everything was PHENOMENAL! I had a burger with an egg and bacon on it, I forget the name, on a gluten free bun and with no cheese (I'm allergic to dairy as well). Our server came out with the food and said the chef left off the relish because there was an ingredient that may have involved dairy and he didn't want to take the chance. It was much appreciated that they were so thorough in preparing my food! The friends I was with both loved their food, as did my boyfriend. And it was a BEAUTIFUL day, so sitting in the open air section was lovely. There is a covered outdoor portion of the restaurant as well as an indoor area with AC. Everyone was super friendly. If we ever find ourselves in Newport again, I will definitely return to Smoke House!

We tried the wings and numerous other apps. The meat was tender and we'll seasoned. It seemed like they even made their own dressings! Really tasty food! Would highly recommend!

Lots of gluten free options! I had a pulled pork sandwich on a gluten free bun. It's an outdoor seating area with curtain flaps that can be pulled down for incliment weather. We were seated next to the potted plants that have a slight hole in between two roofs coming together for the rain to come down. I got a few drops on me during the course of the night. It's a quiet venue by any means -- at some times, I had trouble hearing my boyfriend across the table. So just be aware. Food was excellent though!

Very delicious briskets. Their BBQ sauce was very good. Cocktails are great. Good spot for a date night. Nice open seating.
