Nice place. Friendly staff.  Prices were not too bad considering it's Newport. Ordered scallops and my wife ordered salmon.  They were delicious but I think the chef needs to be more creative as he just served them over a bed of white rice and a teaspoon amount of spinach.  I'd go back but I would look closer at the menu and customize it next time.

Excellent food with a varied menu. Service is attentive without being overbearing. A comfortable atmosphere, good bar, good drinks.

Awesome! We were a party of 12. Short wait. We asked her to split the bill which was perfectly done. She got every order right. EVERY ONE. Nice young waitress named Anastasia. We are a motorcycle riding club that loves to travel and explore. Would definitely come back. The food was great. Was hard to find parking but hello people you are in downtown Newport. Highly recommend going to the Red Parrot.

I've been to the Red Parrot twice when visiting. Both times it was quite busy. It offers a wide selection of food, including many interesting seafood choices. It appears to be one of the larger eateries, and has a great location. I appreciate the wood interior, and would go again.

The Red Parrot undoubtedly has the most diverse food and drink menu in all of Newport. The servers are knowledgeable and helpful with the gigantic menu, and the bartenders have anything you could ever ask for from frozen drinks to hot drinks to your classic cocktails. Choose this restaurant and you're making the best choice!
