Staff was absent when I arrived, for 15 minutes! Then it was like he didn't take his ADHD meds, never recieved the detailed quote promised and turns out I'm lucky as their construction process is poor, i.e. not kiln-dried wood, no blocking, no springs in the base, etc.

Need a new Sofa? Scared that you can’t afford a custom Sofa that is high quality, you design and choose the fabric? Well, you are wrong. Insert Sofa Creations! Derek  has has 3 locations to serve you. And, if that wasn’t enough, he has hundreds of styles of sofa beds and leather recliners to choose from. I recommend Sofa creations if you want a high quality custom Sofa that you love. You will enjoy it in years to come.

We have been looking for a sofa to fit our uniquely shaped living room in Oakland for months. I kept thinking to myself, I wish there was a place that could customize sofas. Well guess what people there is! Sofa Creations not only built my custome sofa,  they did it in 2 weeks. WOW!!! I am beyond happy with this purchase.  We spent the same amount of money on a sofa last year at a big retailer (West Elm) and it didn't even last is 9 months. The quality of materials and fabric ate so much better than anything I've seem in other sofas. Derek and his staff are so easy to work with as well. They have really got this thing down to a science. We were able to choose every feature we wanted, arms, style of cushions,  fabric, firmness of the cushions, depth & width of the sofa. I can't say enough how much we appreciated that. Thank you so much Sofa Creations. You have a loyal customer in me. Please tell people about this place. There's no reason to ever have to settle for a big box sofa ever again.

I went into Sofa Creations with a very vague idea of what I wanted for a sofa, and Brendan walked me through the different options I could choose from. The whole process was very very relaxed, and he was a pleasure to work with. I changed my mind a few times, and thought of things later on that I hadn't considered before, and Brendan was happy to accommodate the changes. I'm very happy with the sofa he helped me design, and I will absolutely go back to see Brendan in the future the next time I need furniture!

We went to Sofa Creations in Redwood City after reading about their location in the city.  We had looked a lot of different places to find the right couch and thought that creating our own custom couch might be the way to go.  That way it would fit in our Living Room and be of a fabric/color that we would like.  

We arrived on a weeknight around 6pm, one hour before they closed.  I was worried that they would be so close to closing that we would be rushed, but that was not the case at all.  Skip was working, and he was warm and welcoming.  He showed us around and gave us an overview.  And the overview is simple.  You pick exactly what you want, style, size, sofa, loveseat, chaise, double chaise sectional, arm style, arm size, everything.  And that's before getting to the fabrics.  They have tons of options, from ultra soft to ultra firm and durable.  And you pick the softness of the cushions. I love having options and coming up with my own thing, but even I was overwhelmed.  The possibilities were endless.  If you've seen a style of couch in a magazine or on TV, you will be able to replicate it here and switch anything to your liking.  You can determine the width/depth/height to fit the room as well.  

The next best thing was that once Skip gave us the overview, he walked away and let us walk around, look at the floor models, and think.  No pressure no high selling tactics.  He sensed when we looked curious and came over and answered questions, but otherwise left us alone to decide.  I loved it.  

We took about 20 minutes to find the style we liked, then moved on to size, which section we wanted as the chaise, then picked the fabric- a charcoal in a very low pile soft cotton/microsuede, and we were ready to go.  

Another great thing!  The couch arrived less than 2 weeks after we ordered it.  A custom made couch to our specifications delivered to our front door 12 days later.  I didn't even have time to order throw pillows to go on it before it came.

Now you want to know about quality.  This sofa is durable.  I can throw myself onto it (it's on a slick laminate floor) and it ain't budging.  It feels very sturdy and cozy and looks expensive.  I can't believe it was made in the time it was made, given such a high feeling of quality.  The only problem is that now I want a new coffee table and end chair to go with.

Oh, also, there is a 7 year warranty on the sofa frame and the cushions, so even if something happens you have assurance that you'll be made whole.  

TL;DR- great quality, service and awesome to get exactly what you want.  If you are indecisive make sure to come with some ideas of what you want, or it will be too overwhelming for you.
