My family was visiting and they never had been to a Sonic. Wanting to impress them, I took them to the Mckhenry location. First impression it was great. Then when we got our order we were hit with a big bill. It's sonic so it's worth it right? Wrong. We get home and the food was dinky. My mother didn't get the drink she ask for and it was a clear (absolutely no color). It was supposed to be cherry and it wasn't even red...Sonic raves about and heavily markets there delicious colorful drinks..false advertising?

I like the food and menu, but had an infuriating experience earlier today. Pulled into a parking spot to prefer, and immediately a vagrant came to my window trying to ask me to go next door to buy some beer for him. I ended up going through the drive through and ordered two classic chicken sandwich meals. When I got home, no chicken sandwiches, instead I have two grilled cheese sandwiches, which I very much do not prefer. But, I don't have time to drive back and deal with all that again. So, I decided to call the number listed here to let them know what happened so they can fix it. Instead, the phone just kept ringing. So, they get this nasty review instead. I hope they take this as a learning opportunity. At least the tater tots were tasty, even though they were probably a little overcooked.

First of all, my absolute all time favorite fast food chain in the world, the service is usually fast, friendly employees, I'm slightly disappointed to not see the carhops really use skates much anymore. I wouldn't call their food inexpensive but it's also not expensive. In my fair opinion it is very worth the price. Although I'm going to warn you now, beware the Sonic on orangeburg.

I guess they do the best they can with their location and amount of business... There's just usually an issue with them being out of this or that and the bread is never truly toasted. That being said, the staff I've seen are all very friendly and obviously work hard. I go often since it's close to home but if I had time I'd go to the one across town.

Why I'm rating at 3 stars because every other time I go they are either extremely busy extremely short staffed or get my order wrong we have a business that is also close by it and we constantly go there because they are a fast food that is close in walking distance most of the time we will wait anywhere between 5 and 10 minutes for order whether it's busy or not the last time in particular I had to argue with the cashier there about how she overcharged me and she told me she did not have to give her a mathematics lesson on what is this extra item that was on the tag after about 2 or 3 minutes she said oh my mistake did not apologize and just corrected it back on my card. I wish they would train them a little bit better at being customer service friendly especially since we go there all the time
