Had a great time! It was my daughter’s birthday and her first time parasailing. She had a blast! We got to dip our feet in the water too! Memorable experience and would go back again!
My second time parasailing. Of course I had to come back here. Brought my family this time. We all had so much fun. Everyone was so nice and it was affordable.
Absolutely amazing!!! Wanted to parasail forever and they made our trip beyond memorable. Even dipped us in the water. Loved it so much we are coming back before we leave. Staff was great from scheduling our trip to the actual ride. Go see them you won’t be disappointed!
Even my teenage, quiet, girl of few words daughter said “That was totally worth it!!” My 11 year old who was nervous, had a blast and was never anxious at all. The staff was terrific! Kind, helpful and fun. Their communication was great! If you have a question, text or FB and ask. They will reply! Take cash and book the morning session for the best rates!! Less crowded, less hot and super fun anytime!! You have to do this!!! Safe, easy and worth it for the smiles and the memories! It’s also a family owned, family run business!! Win win!!
Our family chose Sonny’s at random for our first attempt at parasailing. We had a little difficulty finding their location from the road, but after a quick phone call, Sonny’s assured us it was okay to park at the Pearl South Padre Hotel. Located to the left of the hotel pool, Sonny’s front desk staff were friendly, answered all of our silly questions, and helped us complete the stack of waivers. It was cheaper to pay with cash and after a trip to the hotel’s ATM, we were ready to parasail. The staff on the beach were friendly and helped us with our life jackets. I was surprised to learn none of the beach staff had ever parasailed themselves. Seems like an opportunity for Sonny’s employees to experience! We were quite impressed with the young lady who piloted our rigid inflatable boat from the beach to the parasailing boat. She confidentially and deftly maneuvered us through the surf and around swimmers. The captain and staff member aboard the parasailing boat were friendly and professional. Our parasailing experience was fun and exhilarating! Be forewarned, getting in and out of a rigid inflatable raft from the water and riding through the surf, transferring from one boat to another, and parasailing are a little physically demanding. Our family had no issues and felt reasonably safe, if a little unsteady at times. Kind of goes along with the expectations of the activity. Should our travels take us back to South Padre Island, our family won’t hesitate to parasail with Sonny’s again!
Super friendly, communicative, and accommodating. We had a little bit of a wait but it was a busy time. They were very patient and kind to my teen autistic son. Highly recommended you engage in this activity on your South Padre trip.
We had an absolute blast!!! So much fun! Will definitely go back and do it again! Boat crew was great!
For $150 I would expect to be in the air more than 6 minutes 10 min is what they advertise. I'd recommend watching a few of the different companies fly before booking.
We never actually got to parasail due to winds, however the customer service and level of communication was absolutely outstanding. We tried for 3 days. Day one one we were just late to the party. The other 2 days, the wind just didn't let up. They communicated the need to cancel first thing, which allowed us to plan other activities. As well as sent us the weekly weather so we also had a visual. Also all done over texting because service is so spotty. For me anyway While other companies were out and parasailing and doing all the things, as inexperienced as we are, it still looked hella not safe!! Needless to say, Sonny's valued our safety so much more than our dollar. As well their customer service. We will definitely be back and we definitely won't trust anyone other than Sonny's.
I went parasailing with nephews who throughly enjoyed it. I also had fun and would do it again. This is the second time we have gone to Sonny's Beach Service. They do a great job.
