One of the most unique and intriguing air Bnb places I’ve stayed at! The owners were so awesome and so kind and they provided everything and I mean everything you could possibly need except for your own clothing. It took like 4 minutes to walk to the beach and or to any other stores or restaurants. The place was so clean and so spacious. They were so kind enough to even provide us with snack and all the condiments you could need. I love the fact that they had a front and back patio to hang out. We’re definitely looking forward to coming back again soon. Thank you so much for all your kindness and generosity. My daughter and I had such an amazing and relaxing stay there!
I won a 2 night stay at this property a year and a half ago. From the beginning, I messaged the owner to ask if any black out dates. She said only holidays, so I respected that. However, each time I tried to schedule my stay based on open dates on her own calendar I kept getting excuses like the calendar isn’t updated but it’s not available or it’s open but I have people working at the property. She finally accepted my reservation for June 25-27. However, 2 days ago she canceled my reservation stating that she had forgot to update the calendar with my reservation and it was now double booked and she was canceling my reservation! I explained we already had plane tickets for some family members, but of course she still said no. Obviously, the paying customer had more weight to her than honoring her obligation to this donation she made to a nonprofit organization. She offered nights in the fall, but given all the runaround and this most recent cancelation leaving me and my family high and dry right before our scheduled weekend I would not book another time and risk being left with nothing again. It’s a shame that the organization she “donated” to has to now explain to their donors that their so called grand prize was worthless thanks to this owner not honoring her obligation. She also claimed that she was only trying to bounce back from a tough year but obviously it wasn’t that tough if every time I tried to book she was supposedly booked solid. So yeah, that excuse doesn’t hold up for me.
The place was lovely!! The people was extremely nice didn't mind our pet next time I visit would love to stay with them. Thanks for a wonderful time
This was our first roadtrip with our puppy and choosing Sandbox inn was perfect choice. Lucinda and Jose are no doubt a super host. House is beautifully designed and just a mile away from beach. We definitely plan to visit again.
The Sandbox Inn in South Padre Island is a beautiful, quaint place to stay. It's updated and has beautiful light into all areas of the place. Large kitchen, easy access to the beach only a few blocks away. Has a two great decks for lounging and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! I give it 5 stars! Loved it!
Big space with two decks close to beach. House is full of stuff and seems messy. Beds are not comfortable and the sofa bed is not usable at all. Half of the light bulbs are dead that makes the main sitting area dark. The owner charge extra occupancy tax on top of the amount that was mentioned in the website.
Such an amazing experience. My wife and friends visit for spring break was the best ever!!! My high expectations were met especially with such a passionate and artistic home. Will be back soon!!!!!
Nice place, had everything we needed. Owner was friendly and had some answers for questions we had about the island. Walk down to the end of the block and beach is there.
Pretty good, has some basic cooking supplies but, need more sound barriers if your group has many different sleep times. Is also upstairs.
