I went in for my first visit a scheduled cleaning. I refused X-rays, which they didn’t like. I told them, you can look inside my mouth but no x-rays. Then after the oral exam, the office manager comes in to discuss all the charges. I said all I want is a basic cleaning. The office manager then says it’s up to the hygienist to determine the cleaning. I asked why then are you automatically saying I need a  full mouth debridement when the hygienist hasn’t even looked in my mouth? Well because you haven’t been to the dentist. I said all I want is the basic cleaning. I have never had to have anything but a basic cleaning in all my years of getting dental care 35+ Years. The office manager said well we are recommending this. I said YOU ARE REFUSING to give me a basic cleaning? She said yes.
This dentist is ALL about milking you and Your insurance.
DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!

What a great practice!  Returned calls after office hours and gave me an appointment the same day for some unexpected dental work.  The office staff was polite, professional, and very efficient.  Dr Mayan was thorough, timely, and explained all very clearly.  He presented several options and allowed my input in the treatment plan.  I won’t even mind going back for the second part of my treatment.

The office is nice and the staff and doctor are friendly. However, I specifically requested an appointment for a cleaning. After evaluation, he recommended I get two fillings AFTER my cleaning. I agreed to have the fillings done but after they were finished, I was told that I would have to get my cleaning done another day! I specifically came for the cleaning. After I expressed that I was unhappy with the service, the doctor decided to perform the cleaning himself. Unfortunately, that was the MOST PAINFUL cleaning I have ever had. I normally fall asleep during cleanings, but not this one! Half my mouth was numb and it still hurt. I feel like the whole thing became a bait and switch. This was not the experience I had hoped for.

I was visiting Miami when I had a dental emergency. The professionals at South Beach Dentistry were so kind and understanding. They got me in right away and we're so reasonable with the pricing. They were all so kind and understanding. They made me feel comfortable during a really uncomfortable time!
