In my opinion, this legal service is unethical. My ex - claiming indigence -used one of the female lawyers to sue me for divorce, claiming we were in a common law marriage. We were married in Illinois in a religious - not legal - ceremony. I remained in Illinois, where common law marriage is NOT recognized. My ex moved to South Carolina nearly two years ago. We jointly owned property jointly in SC, but I NEVER lived in SC. Our relationship ended in Illinois. In consulting three other lawyers in SC, I was told that his lawyer absolutely knew she was not dealing with a common law marriage. They explained that her goal was to wear me down and force me to spend my money to defend something that didn't even exist. They hoped I'd ignore the summons and they would win by default. Disgusting dishonesty and highly unethical. This woman initiated a lawsuit based on the premise that we were in a common law marriage, including suing me for alimony, an order of protection and legal fees. This was to protect property of which I am a joint tenant and have a right to. People like this should be disbarred.

They don't assist with infidelity in divorce.

They don't help people in need and actually deserted me in the middle of a crisis.
