We took a special education class to the museum and they loved it. The exhibits were fantastic and the staff could not have been nicer. Our group especially liked the 4-D show about the chipmunk. Very well worth the time and money.

Our family really enjoys the South Carolina state museum. It has a lot of different exhibits and things that are interesting for people of all ages. Some of the exhibits are getting a bit dated and the facility is in need for some updates but overall it's a good day with the family.

I hope my experience is isolated. We went before Christmas to see the Polar Express experience. Museum is excellent, but the fire alarm went off three separate times. Had to stand out in the cold while the building was checked. I'm sure this is not a normal thing.

There is a free play area for kids which is perfect for a rainy day. I’ve been to a rock show inside the planetarium. The upstairs area has some interactive areas which is both educational and mesmerizing to my kids.

Today days admission fee was only a $1. The firar Sunday of every month is only a $1. There is also a 4D movie theater there. A fun experience for younger children (and adults). 😁
