For the price, the food here is sub-par at best. What disgusted me most was the wait staff. I overheard a conversation two booths over between the waitress and the customer. He ordered the French onion soup and had a question as to why there was a slice of cheese at the bottom. Instead of giving him an explanation that that is just how French onion soup is presented, she told him "It's French onion soup, what do you expect! You live here you should know this." 
Absolutely disgusted. Never again.

I use to live in River falls and it was our breakfast place.  And now I meet my father there for breakfast ones a month. Amazing food and such friendly staff.

Good variety of menu selections...breakfast served all day...senior & kids menus...on street parking...pleasant staff...bigger inside than it looks...my order did srrive incorrect but they immediately offered to correct it & they removed the upcharge for the fancy I hadn't ordered, can't argue with making it right.

I have enjoyed the South Fork Cafe for about three decades.  While not gourmet, they serve breakfast and lunch all day.  By all day, I mean 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  They do not have a dinner service.  If you like a good sandwich, I recommend the "King Henry", corned beef, ham, American cheese, Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing, grilled on dark rye bread.  It is delicious!
