We did 2 nights in a cabin and 5 in a tent. Cabin camping was heaven. Everything was clean and functional and the TV is a nice addition! Kids loved the porch swing and loft. Facilities were excellent. Pool, jumping pillow, playground and mining were our favorites. Bathrooms super clean and actually smelled good. Laundry was nice for dishwashing but bring your own soap and scrubber. 1 of the 2 washers were broken and remaining one needed a "special touch" to get it going so maybe hit up a laundry mat instead. All staff interactions were great. Tent camping was not as great. Tent sights are not private (kids walking through your tent site) and people did not participate in quite time after 11p. A cabin would sufficiently block that noise but the tent did not so it was hard to get to sleep sometimes. Fire pits do not have grates so bring your own for cooking. A standard oven rack worked great for us. Overall we will return but only for cabin camping and save the tent for more secluded camp grounds.

We just returned from our vacation and stayed at the South Haven Family Campground. This is the best one we've stayed at so far. The cottage we stayed in was clean, community bathrooms were clean, they had a zero entry pool that was so perfect for our little guys! Our boys were able to race little cars on a race track, mine for gemstones, play at the clean playground, and there were bigger things for older kids to rent. Everything was so well maintained and the staff was friendly and efficient. We would definitely recommend this place to others and stay here again.

This campground was amazing! It was very clean and the bathrooms/showers were awesome. You don't feel disgusting getting into a public shower in this place. It's all new-ish (built in 2009) and the play area is covered in beach sand, which makes it pleasant for your feet. The play area is huge and there is a great store for almost anything you'd need. They also sell a bunch of souvenirs that you wouldn't normally see anywhere else. They serve coffee, breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, and many other types of drinks there. Children can also go mining for only $4.50/small bag of dirt and stones. One small bag was enough for my three children. I would recommend this place to anyone! Definitely worth a visit!

It was a very new campground. Had a lot of free things for the kids to do like bubbles fans. The owners were nice enough not the brightest folks. The bad is there are absolutely NO trees. The pictures they take make this place look lush and thick but when you drive up its grass field with no trees. The spots are also very close to each other and are not real spacious. Also NO hot water over the three days we were there in the showers. If you love cold showers then this place is a dream. Overall a 4 out of 10 but there is a couple other campgrounds you should check out before this one.

We just returned from the the two days expensive cottage stay at the campground. Amenities are well cleaned, nice play area and good activities for kids. However, campground is extremely small and cottages, tents are barely 10 ft apart. Our relax time spoiled constantly by one of the specific rude and bully staff member, we were six families and each one of experienced constant nagging from him and we observed he does the same to many others. He'll constantly nag people on driving seed 5 mph (he drives on 30 though), parking (only one car parking is allowed), parking of bikes by kids. On complain, owners apologizes on behalf of ill mannered staff member; however, we had lost the fun. We do camping throughout the year, this was the worst ever experience because of one rude staff member. Despite being nice place, I'll not recommend this site to my friends because at last you want friendly customer services with the relax personal time. Spoiler Alert!!
