Amazing!!  Had an urgent problem with our 5 year old furnace and they accommodated me right from the get go even though I was not already a customer (which I def am now!!) and resolved the problem quickly and efficiently!  And Matt is THE BEST and was thorough and over the top helpful and our frustration became his frustration and he was not satisfied until we were completely satisfied!   Wish there were more stars to check off!!  :-)

I purchased my home with a new AC unit already installed. From day one we had issues with the unit and South Shore was initially helpful and responsive. After about two weeks of use this summer, the system froze up and stopped working. South Shore sent out a tech however he could not look at the unit frozen. I was told the office would call me for a new appointment the following day. After several days without a call, I called the office and set up a new appointment. The tech came back out the following week and could not diagnose the problem. I was told the owner would contact me and schedule an appointment to go through the entire system. After a week with no phone call I called the office again. I was told they would call me back the following day, which they did not. I called back several days later and was finally able to set up an appointment. On the day of the appointment, a different tech showed up (not the owner) and took pictures of the system. He said he was not their to fix it, but to take pictures and the crew would look at them at the office to try and diagnose the problem. While at the house, this tech complained about having to go into the attic and was not helpful in anyway. I was told there was no time table on when I could expect an answer.  I called the office to see why work was not scheduled to be done when I was told it would be. I was told the pictures will help find a solution to my problems and I would receive a phone call soon, most likely within the week. After over a week with no response I called back. I was told they would call me back soon with an answer. The office assured me they were not too busy for the job several times. It has been over a month now and I have not received a call back from the office or the technicians as promised. 

Beyond the obvious scheduling and communication issues, it appears there were easy solutions to the issue. I finally called a different company and and tech came over within a week. The tech went through the entire system and found several issues that he fixed within a couple hours. He also found a valve needed to be replaced. Once the part was in, the tech returned, replaced the valve and the system now works fine. I was told that the issues that were fixed should have never been dragged on so long and there was no reason they could not be diagnosed. 

I am disappointed in how South Shore handled the situation, specifically compared to the second company I called. South Shore has lost my business and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Ron A is an outstanding service pro. He is courteous, respectful and most importantly, he is highly knowledgeable.  Ron A. takes the extra time to proactively listen to your concerns and thoroughly explains the situation and then, teaches / informs on how to use the system. He is never condescending.  South Shore Heating & Cooling is an EXCELLENT company and Ron A. is THE MAN. Therefore, we will continue with this company as long as Ron A. will be our service pro.

My new air conditioning system & dehumidifier were installed today by Wayne P. with assistance from George & Steve. They were professional, worked very efficiently as a team, answered my questions with a smile, advised me on how to operate the system & thermostat (that I can control remotely), cleaned up their debris and left me with a cool home on a hot day.  Kudos to this installation team, and to Shawn Scola who spent time explaining cooling options to me that led me to choose South Shore Heating & Cooling as my contractor of choice.  I'm very pleased with my decision.
