South Whidbey Animal Clinic is a progressive animal care facility and full service Veterinary Hospital serving the Clinton, Langley, Freeland and Greenbank communities for over 30 years.

Dr. Eric Patrin is a licensed veterinarian in Washington serving our community since 2006. Dr. Patrin is an experienced veterinarian ready to handle both routine and emergency services. Our veterinary staff is ready to handle preventative care medicine, emergencies, small animal surgery, dental disease management and prevention, and geriatric care.

SWAC offers high quality care and diagnostics for its patients. Our clinic offers digital radiography (including digital dental radiography), in-house blood diagnostics, glaucoma testing, pulse oximetry and blood pressure monitoring.

The doctors and staff here have been consistently wonderful to our four cats. We have a medically fragile kitten who nearly died of illness twice in his first six months, and they worked tirelessly with us and with the emergency vet hospital in Seattle to pull him through and then taught us how to nurse him back to full strength. They know and care about our animals, and they are informative and empathetic to the humans. We've been very happy with them.

Dr. Patrin has been a great caregiver to our three dogs. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they always treat the "boys" as if they are part of the extended family. One of our little guys can be cranky and combative (it is the Vet after all), yet they are patient with him and have gradually won him over. You can generally tell if an office is pet friendly or not. This place has a great vibe, and you can tell their culture is focused on the care of your pet.

I have many pets and have been visiting this clinic for a year and a half and have had nothing but good experiences. A couple of times I've gone in and received what I felt were honest evaluations like "go home and keep an eye on it" or "not sure what's wrong, keep an eye on it". I respect these answers and am thankful not to have my animals overtreated, or to be nickled and dimed for mysterious ailments that got better with time. I have also had surgeries and injuries treated at this clinic and everything has gone very well.

I found a very sweet dog wandering outside in the rain with a limp. Not knowing what to do with the dog I called South Whidbey Animal Clinic and they said to bring him in to see if he was chipped. So I did, and I also assumed that would be the extent of it and then it would be on me to either locate the owners or turn the dog over to the shelter. Contrary to what I thought, the staff immediately took the dog and loved on him as if he were their own. They went beyond that and kept him at the clinic to get lots of love and attention while we all hoped someone would come looking for him. During his time there Dr. Patrin went out of him way to examine the dog's injury, the overall health and took incredible care of him, knowing little about the dog and the dog not being his patient. Their help and support really made me feel like a community effort was put forward and I was not alone in helping this dog be reunited with it's owner. The dog was reunited with his owners, thanks to the vet staff knowing all about this sweet dog, they were able to put the owner in touch with me when he called in looking for them. I am still just so impressed and thankful for the generosity and help of the South Whidbey Animal Clinic.

Twice I brought my dog to this clinic, and twice they sent him home to die. He is alive and well, thanks to a different Doctor. If your animal needs anything other than an injection or a bandaid, take it somewhere else.
