As long as your expectations are reasonable (it's not a high-budget museum!) this place is pretty cool. We weren't expecting much, but it's fairly large and has a variety of exhibits (mostly taxidermy, but also live animals, and some geology and local history). It's clearly the work of some very dedicated people, and for $5 a ticket, definitely worth a stop if you've got some free time.

An older woman with white hair told me it was closed (it was 4pm and the website says it's open until 5). She was extremely blunt and rude to the point that I had to leave the gift shop; I was shaking with anger, shock and frustration. Learn how to deliver unfortunate news in a manner that is not quite so condescending and nasty. We walked out without buying anything. I honestly can't believe that just happened. Don't come here if you want to be treated like an equal - apparently that too much to ask.

Great nature center with some very interesting displays, including live reptiles and raptors. The staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly.

My 2.5 year old jumped up and down yelling, “I like this place,” and “whoa, what’s that?” He was enthralled. I was surprised he enjoyed it so much as it is not the most interactive place and there isn’t much to do beside look at displays. He loved it, though. We’ve been talking about birds, bears, owls and turtles for days.

My daughters loved this place. It's basically a ton of taxidermy and then some live birds in a sanctuary area. One of the bird keepers was there and spent a ton of time telling us stories and information about the birds. Great spot for pre school and elementary aged kids who like science or animals.
