Spenadel Tax and Accounting Services (STAS) is an eco-friendly, paperless office accounting firm devoted to serving the small business client, especially in the Bucktown, Wicker Park and West Town neighborhoods of Chicago. The firm provides accounting, tax and consulting services to our clientel.

STAS is headed by Albert (Big Al) Spenadel has been in practice for 30 years and is licensed by the State of Illinois as Certified Public Accountant. He started a small practice 27 years ago. Over the years, Al accumulated experience in customer service, insurance and financial sales and marketing at a brokerage firm. He started devoting full-time to his accounting practice in 2004. Although his clients are diverse including self-employed and small business entities from around the country, he specializes in serving valued clientele in the Bucktown, Wicker Park and West Town neighborhoods of Chicago, specializing in preparing current tax returns, IRS issues and tax planning. He is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, a member of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society, serves as Treasurer of the Wicker Park-Bucktown Chamber of Commerce http://www.wickerparkbucktown.com and is former Treasurer of the West Town Chamber of Commerce http://www.westtownchamber.org. He received his B.S. Accountancy degree from the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign and a M.S. Taxation degree from DePaul University.
