A superb but somewhat limited art museum with a great variety of artworks. The renovation of the museum has added much to the modernity of the property, bringing it properly into the 21st century. A slight complaint would be that one of the handicapped entrances is located in the back of the building and can be considered peculiar to access. I'd advise using the front entrance if you are with a handicapped or elderly individual.

Wonderful place to spend a few hours browsing different art. There are always unique exhibits to enjoy that you will not see in other museums in Kansas. The staff is helpful and friendly and always makes the visit enjoyable to see.

Beautiful and newly redone. Wonderful staff that is always helpful. Right now they have a wide variety of styles on display, which is such a great way to re-open after all the renovations. They're also great in working with the University and students.

I just got to visit this University Museum for the first time and was impressed. The current show is called Temporal Turn: Art & Speculation in Contemporary Asia. The works were contemplative and beautiful. As well as on a scale I did not expect. Most were commissioned for this show.
The permanent collection while close together and almost claustrophobic, boastsart by Georgia O'Keefe, Ansel Adams, Louis Jimenez, Andy Warhol and more, as well as works from long ago, and populist art.
I could have spent several more hours exploring. If you have time stop by this unique and fascinating Museum.
Parking is close by, but does cost. The museum itself is free.
