I loved my experience at Sprout! I originally called them because I wanted to start using chemical free dye for my hair. The lady who booked my appointment was so helpful and asked me all about my hair and what I was wanting to get. She paired me with the stylist Carey Elizabeth and it was a great match! Carey Elizabeth listened to what I wanted and the result was better than what I imagined. The color, cut and style were all done so well. She is very nice and personable and didn't mind that I have a thick head of curly hair that I had been neglecting lately. I am used to a stylist commenting on my hair or charging me extra because of the thickness, but she didn't do any of that. I also have gray hair that's very hard to dye, but you can't even tell I ever had gray hair after she was finished! I'm so relieved about that. The salon itself is nice and clean, the chairs are comfortable and in my opinion, the music was perfect. Everyone there was very nice. I am still shocked at the price, I was thinking it would be very expensive given the amount of work she did to my hair, but it wasn't at all. I have definitely found my new salon!

This is a great chill little place to get haircut. They do more floofy stuff too if you're into that, but I go there for the raw quality of the cuts my stylist can do because it grows out nicely and continues to look great between cuts. Oh and if they offer you wine, accept! It's probably something decent since wine source is nearby.

I see Leah every time I go to Sprout and love this place! The prices are great for an upscale type of service. SOme may think it's expensive, but I think for the quality and products used the price is good. Leah is awesome and always listens to my needs before starting a cut. She always gives me something that works with my hair and will tell me if something won't work. I like the honesty and great quality at Sprout and hope they have a long and healthy life in Hampden!

Update::: Leah now has her own salon down the street called smoke and mirrors. Go there!!

Sprout is always a reliable salon. Having changed back to Sprout recently, I was happy to have a great haircut from Cary. The stylists are generally well-experienced in dealing with a mop of curly hair and this visit was another example of that. Also happy to see they still keep copies of Rock and Ice magazine in the waiting area!

I was recommended here by a friend and got probably the best haircut of my life. 
The person making the appointment asked about hair texture and length, which I'm guessing is to get you to the best stylist for your hair type. 
The stylist I saw was Cary Elizabeth and she was great at taking my word salad of what I wanted my hair to do and making it happen. After finishing the basic cut she did two or three adjustments based on what I wanted and it turned out really great. Sometimes I have a hard time speaking up (especially when I know so little lingo and don't necessarily know how to explain things)
