Very cozy. This is a great coffee shop. Smaller than the other spy houses so maybe not a great place to study. It’s also friendlier - probably because it’s in Saint Paul :) . Great place to pick up a drink before shopping on Snelling.

Clean, inviting atmosphere with old school quality touches throughout. Aces High is a great deal for trying some of their fresh roasted brews, as espresso and pour overs. Though I am traveling through I would definitely make this a usual hang if I lived in the area!

Pros: 1. The coffee is really good. 2. The design and aesthetic of the coffee shop is on point. Easily five-stars. Cons: 1. Charge your computer before leaving the house because there’s only one outlet in the shop. 2. At least half of the tables are reserved for two people or more, so be wary where you sit. 3. The staff are friendly but could be friendlier.

The coffee here is amazing and the St. Paul location is well-placed along Snelling, which should make it an easy stop for many folks on their way to work. However, the service was a bit slow (took about 15 minutes to get through the line, order, and get my coffee) because only one person was working. Balances out well over the morning, but makes it hard to predict how much time getting a great brew will take. Might not get many in who are ordering to go. The other drawback is relatively minor, but definitely impacts the experience: they leave the window cracked to prevent condensation build up. While I understand the practicality of that, my friend and I had to sit bundled up the entire time. It felt close to 60 degrees. Our hands were freezing. We'll likely go back to our usual coffee shop if this will be part of the normal experience here. If I'm paying $6 for a coffee drink, I want to enjoy the environment too.

The place looks nice. But the coffee was not hot that me and my boyfriend got. It was cold. We wanted hot coffee not cold.
