Maybe today this church is a better place? I attended CCD years back at St Ambrose in Old Bridge New Jersey. Some aweful lady named Mrs Bates used to run the program back then. Many of us kids remember her just yelling at the us in CCD. She turned some many of us off to church. Then, years later when we made our confirmations finally. I distinctly remember her threatening us in the hallway that she would tell them not to give us the Sacrament, because we were a bad kids and we wouldn't stop talking. Just a terrible person to expose young children too. Right to the bitter end she was awful. As a child and adult, I'm a very kind/easy going person. But in my opinion, St Ambrose employed such a terrible employee years ago, now so many of us have ill feelings towards this church. Such a bad chapter for St Ambrose.
