We live within walking distance to Kathyrn Linnemann and have decided to drive to the Spencer Branch for our library needs. On repeated occasions we have been made to feel incredibly unwelcome. Two librarians in the children's section in particular are frequently shrud.

Entrance is on Sibley, off Duchesne. They have good programs for young children. I love their tiny tots program with Liz! The main bookshelves feel a little out of the way. Everyone is very friendly here. Sometimes other patrons will smoke near the door, which I don't love, because it is such a safe space in the community. They have lots of seating and workspaces hidden throughout the entire library. They offer communal tables and chairs, workspaces with power ports, a coffee machine, vending machines, computers with internet, community board games, CDs, DVDs, video games, audiobooks, books, test proctoring, and more.

Great Library. As far as Google Maps goes, the entrance is on Sibley Street, not where it takes you on Elm. By the time you make it to Elm you have to go a mile before you can turn around and get to the entrance for the library.

Over the past 10 years, I have had a variety of experiences. A police officer telling me I could not (quietly) help someone next to me on the computers, the rude librarian in the children's section who has the attitude and maturity of a rotten teenager, a librarian not allowing me to extend my time while taking an online college test even though there were plenty of empty computers,....to an extremely kind librarian who went above and beyond to discover why I had over $200 in books and movies checked out on my card that I never borrowed, a reference librarian who spent 20 min helping me to find and reserve good horror movies, a librarian who loaned me $.70 to print important documents,  a clean and large library. I love having the drive thru pick up. Most of the staff is great but a few could use retraining and one should not work with humans. 
I also have online issues. Many times I cannot find movies that I know they have.

This place is excellent.  Along with  having an endless variety of bounded books,  they also offer seating for the one to a group of visitors.  The staff are so quick and courteous.
