This is the best kept secret in Affton! We tried another catholic school in the area and never received the community feel that we do with St. Dominic Savio. Their motto is: Where every child is known by name. It is true! I often find, when walking my kids to school or out in the community, older St. Dominic students will say a big hello to my 3rd grader and Kindergartener! This is also true with the staff. One of our children needed special school district services and we where surprised at how welcoming St. Dominic's is in letting these services into the school. We did not find this with the other school. We just got a new principal and pastor and could not have asked for a better pair. Mrs. Cheak and Fr. Rothschild are totally accessible to us parents as well as the students. They are totally present even in the mundane of school activities such as morning drop-off! If you are looking for a great catholic school, please consider St. Dominic Savio!
