Panera a.k.a. St. Louis Bread Company in the St. Louis metro area is a franchise offering soups, sandwiches, salads, and baked breads and sweets mainly. A warm and inviting atmosphere is a signature of this cafe. Be sure to utilize their mobile app as they were one of the first to implement such technology. They also offer kiosk ordering on the inside or a counter for a more personalized service. The rest of my review will be for this specific location. I was able to get work done while enjoying coffee and a meal. The fireplace was lit and sitting near it made my work feel less stressful. The food was great, the bathrooms were clean, and the atmosphere cozy, yet modern.
Nicest staff ever! Everyone was so happy and willing to help me. The places smells good when you walk in and is very clean. Tracy at the counter was so helpful and went about and beyond!! Definitely the location to visit!!
The experience was almost perfect. My mom ordered a sandwich, and they were out of hummus and didn’t put any on her sandwich without even telling her they were out and she was too embarrassed to get a different item or to ask for a substitute and she wouldn’t let me speak up on her behalf, so I figured I would mention it on here. I would be happy to leave a perfect five star rating. I just wanted to mention this and get it resolved. I forget what sandwich she got, but she ordered it without onion and something else so the sandwich was just lettuce, tomatoes cilantro, cucumber. The experience was damn near perfect it was just unfortunate that it was not communicated that I’m a ingredient and her sandwich was out of stock before continuing to place the order. It definitely should have been mentioned aside from that the visit was perfect.
Val, at the 15 Progress Parkway location, is a hire they NEED to keep. A while back, she helped me out when I had problems with my delivery through Doordash being at fault. Today I needed help again & she fixed my order right away. When I was thanking her I recalled how she helped me a year ago & that I remember how extremely helpful an nice she was, even during the lunch rush. Thanks so much Val!
Granddaughter and I went to this particular one, because she has had a good experience with the one near her job. After visiting this one I don't think I will order again from them. She order a sandwich which came with salad and they gave her 2 bags of chips. Our sandwiches was mostly bread, with no meat in the middle of the sandwich. For 2 sandwich, 2 drinks, and flat bread pizza the order was over $51. That is a lot to receive under prepared food.
I love Panera when my order is correct. The past four mobile orders have been everything but great. The past few orders my drink has been forgotten, received a bagel without cream cheese, etc. Today I ordered a bread-sliced bagel, muffie and charged lemonade and the bagel was not sliced. The ticket clearly said bread sliced. No its not the end of the world but I did pay for the order plus a delivery fee plus tip just to not get what I want. I didn't call because each time I'm told sorry but we have no way to get the correct item to you and they never offer a refund. I needed to vent but I'm over it. My mobile order days are over. I guess bye bye Panera because most of my orders are mobile.
Waited for about 10 minutes at least for two breakfast sandwiches in the drive-thru. There was only one other car in front of me but there must have been 15 employees in the building I'm not sure why it took so long.Food: 1/5
Worse "Customer Service" in America. In town for a family members wedding. Trying to get some lunch. Pull in, they have 3 handicap spots. Walked to counter, to read the menu above. Women on the other side of counter didnt even acknowledge us. There were 2 woman that came in just right before us, the ran into some folks they knew, so they stopped to chat, they hadn't even walked up to the counter yet. The woman then decides, after we had been standing there 5-6 minutes, looking up at menu. The employee mid-aged employee, come around the counter, and announced that if we wanted to order, they would all Have to Be "To Go Food". No Explanation, as too why, even worse the rude tone in her voice. Then turned around and back to behind the counter she went. No customer service. There were still some open tables & booths, they were not completely full. I think this location, should be closed, and retrain employees, thus should have never happened. • On top of that my husband & I are both handicap, so getting in out if the car, is painful. I snapped at quick photo to show the world where not to go. Save your hard earned money. Parking: Only 3 handicap slots, out front.
The manager, Melissa, is very rude and has the nastiest attitude, I have ever witness coming from a manager. I've never experience this type of attitudes from any Bread Co. employee. The one located off Dorsett, in Maryland Heights. I usually don't do reviews but I made time today.
As most restaurants they seem to be severely understaffed. A little slow to both take orders and prepare. Not a big deal unless you have limited time for lunch service.
