I shop at both location, Congrats to the owners on all the success  with a store in the city.
Brighton Beach location however has seen its better days.   The salesgirl  was unbelievably rude to my elderly mother, basically calling her stupid because she couldn’t  figure out the sale price on her own. She was too busy chatting with a guy friend who pointed out to her that she was very rude, to which she replied :”no big deal what they going to do.?”  I changed my mind about buying a book  I was going to buy.  I wonder how many sales they made today , I am guessing zero with an attitude like that.  I will continue shopping at the Manhattan location  around the holidays, but have no desire to come back every week to buy a new book at that  cold uninviting place where  I was made feel unwelcome over and over again for the last couple of years.  Something needs to change . I am sure it’s not the owners fault that people they hire pretend to be  all nice like they love people and will do their best to sell  merchandise that sellls itself with a help of a smile and a little small talk, but when left unsupervised  show very poor judgment and horrible people skills and  end up  driving customers away and nor really earning their pay check at all.

I mean ...nice to have this store n our area.  Interesting ...like to go to museum of Russia.  Lol.  Not cheap.  I love to go for fun ! This is me in the store. Lol

I love this store, because you it's cozy,  carries Russian books or foreign writers' books in Russian language. 
Also, you can find Russian souvenirs, CD, mp3 disks of Russian singers, classic music, DVDs with Russian movies, crossword books etc. 
The place looks a little congested because of lot of things they sell.
Nice store. 
Helpful workers.

place loosing its mojo, used to be better place with lots of great items, now also not bad, but still, I don't see this "WOW" anymore, its my opinion

Extremely expensive. The items, which are not Russia or the Russian language specific, priced double of the exactly the same items elsewhere. Even the Russia specific items are much cheaper to buy online.
