We needed to send a very special delivery Christmas week no less, to a little girl in the Stanford PICU!. I tried calling the Stanford Gift Shop and they were overwhelmed. Then the local florist Mi...they were awful. Suggested flowers! As soon as I called it was now going on 11:00 a.m. and Stanford Florist hit this out of the park! Immediately knew what to recommend as I explained we needed balloons and a teddy bear. They suggested Mylar as the PICU won't allow latex..In the end she is very, very happy with Fluffy. Daddy says they are Inseparable! What comfort you have helped us to provide this little one . Thank you so much for being a Great out of town florist.

I didn't have a good experience with Stanford Florists. On the Friday before Mother's Day, I ordered a bouquet of flowers to be delivered on Saturday for my wife. I will say the price I paid -- around $50 before tax -- was reasonable for the arrangement I received. I wasn't able to specify a delivery time on the website (which was a bit disconcerting) but I expected the flowers would probably just be delivered sometime within their business hours (i.e., before 5). Around 4:30, I noticed the flowers hadn't been delivered so I decided to give them a call to check on the status. A hard-to-understand man answered the phone, verified my address, and said the delivery man would be leaving in "just a few minutes" and the flowers would be delivered within the next hour. I told him that was fine. My family went out for dinner and returned around 6:30. I expected to see flowers sitting outside our front door but didn't see any. So I called the florists again -- the same man answered -- and I asked about the status of my flowers. He again verified my address and informed me that the delivery man was "just leaving" and that my flowers would arrive soon. I pressed him for a time window and he said they'd arrive "no later than 30 minutes from now." I expressed a bit of frustration but told him that was OK and I'll look out for the flowers. 7:45 rolls around, no sign of any flowers. I called the florists again and was greeted by a woman this time, who seemed to be much more helpful than the man. She said the driver was out but had "gotten lost" because he thought my address was in Palo Alto instead of Stanford, a point which I had made very clear twice to the man I'd spoken with. The flowers ended up arriving around 8:15. Needless to say, my experience with Stanford Florists left a bad taste in my mouth. The price of the flower arrangement itself was fair (which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 2), but other than that, these guys are too undependable for me to use again.

Michaela's flower shop has the exact same corsages and boutonnieres but at a FRACTION of the cost
