State Line Diner has been family owned and operated for over 35 years. Since opening its doors in 1976, we have expanded and renovated our dining area multiple times. We look forward to serving you soon!

Story

Located in Mahwah, New Jersey, the reason behind our continued success is our usage of high quality ingredients in our vast menu. In our family friendly atmosphere, we only use certified Angus beef and fresh fish. Our entrees are fresh and delicious and you can enjoy a meal with us at any time of the day seven days a week!

Some of our customers’ favorite dishes are our burgers, skirt steaks and baked goods including our cheesecake and rainbow cake. Continued updates and additions to our already vast and appealing menu selection ensures a dining experience that is second to none!

Talk about having a massive meal selection. No wonder the food is terrible. The kids meals are adult size and over priced. Chicken parm was 2 small strips, had more cheese and sauce on a roll. Homes fries bland no seasoning at all. If you ever watch kitchen nightmares well you can personally experience it for yourself. Do yourself a favor and keep driving somewhere else. And if you have to stop, good luck if you love bland tasteless food then this is the spot for you. I know it's a diner but damn at least try and serve decent meals. This place was voted best diner in 2014 and it seems it's gone downhill since they have not won that award since. Will not go back. Nothing fresh about the food you get all is frozen, but then again not surprised.

I love this place!! Everything we've had has always been excellent. Good service and huge portions. We always stop here on our way home back from The City

Awesome servers & great food. This is the best dinner in the area. Very popular place for locals to go to. During peak hours it's pretty busy so expect to wait if you have a large party.

Excellent food ribs were great. Liver and onions was good. Chicken Marsala was good. The service was awesome, the waitress was extremely nice. I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and will return if I'm ever in the neighborhood again!

Great service and the food is excellent. We have tried their breakfast food and their burgers and both were excellent. They do custom orders and the portions are very generous.
