Phone and email messages are never returned. Nowhere on the site it is listed that there is a lunch break from 12 to 1 pm. The issues have been resolved since then by the superviser and another case worker ( who has been very friendly, prompt, and thorough).

I am only giving one star because I can't give a ZERO out of five. I have had the worst experience over the last five years. My case worker would not follow through with doing any of the work on my account, would not answer any phone calls, and would not return any of the messages I left with detailed information. I called her manager and left a message with no call back. As a result, I had to get a hold of someone in Lansing to find out the last three health insurances I have had were not even recorded. It took me many weeks of calling every other day to get a prescription filled and covered under my current health insurance because of the lack of them doing their job.

One can only surmise that it is easier to cancel your benefits rather than do the job right. When I get my benefits cancelled due to not receiving the proper paperwork to return, instead receiving a case of action cancellation of my benefits.?? No phone call back NOTHING?! How do you even get a hold of a supervisor down there anyhow?? Confused about everything.....

If I could give them no stars I would. Just found out my caseworker J. Haggard did not give me all necessary information for my approval, provided me assistance in Aug and said that was wrong and never sent out a request for verification and had the nerves to tell me I needed to calm down. All of this could have been dealt with, if she was not so incompetent. Not once did she apoligize for not following through as she should have. On top of that trying to get through to anyone at the DHS office is a nightmare! Took me 20 minutes to get an operator to transfer me to a supervisor which of course meant leaving a voicemail. Lets see if I receive a call back or not. Haggard was rude and hung up on me all because I stated her incompetence was no excuse and all of this causing a delay in my benefits. Simple instructions for verification is not hard and not a single letter asking for verification either. She stated, " I didn't request that from you when I talked to you on the phone?" then checks her notes and tells me "Oh, I guess not." Really!!! I can't get out of this incomptent state fast enough.

Caseworker never answers or calls back. Then she can't add correctly so messes up your case. Claims never gets papers you hand in so cancels your case. Then never meets with you in actual person. WT*
