I guess I went in at the wrong time of day. They didn't have any fried oysters for the platter. They didn't have boiled crawfish. They did have a lot of fried food on a $35 platter. The server was absent from meal delivery until delivering the check. I had to self-serve my refill of a $3 drink. The mushrooms were tasty. I thought the fish was good. I thought the shrimp tasted like something out of a bag, frozen until dropped in the fryer. The coleslaw was full of raw onions-gross. The platter was worth $18.99 tops. Over priced.

We were visiting Deridder for the week and ate here 2 times.  The Cajun and fire grilled oysters were 5 star!  Big C that cooks and cleans the oysters does an amazing job of getting them perfect!  The gumbo was spicy but so very delicious!  I also had the cheeseburger and it was great also!  Don’t hesitate to stop in and have a great meal!

First time at Steamboat Bill's and it won't be my last for sure. Food was excellent! I ordered the Atchafalaya dinner, the fried fish was light and crispy, the shrimp Étouffée was delicious. We also had the boiled shrimp, it was really good and spicy and the fried okra. I can't wait to go back and try more on the menu.

First time going back in about 2-3 years didn't like my first experience. This time was alot better. Alot of fried seafood options. Beware- they do not devein their shrimp, so if that bothers you, I suggest ordering something without shrimp.  Location: right off the main highway, next to burger King. Large parking lot.  Atmosphere: spacious, smells good, cajun music playing. Seemed clean. It used to be a Ryan's so it has a similar layout. Table seating and bar seating. Good for casual family dinner, date, or friends. Comfortable.  Food: good variety but mostly fried. Shrimp boiled and fried, fish, oysters charbroiled, fried, crawfish seasonal, alligator, poboys, loaded potatoes, gumbo, fries, salads, coleslaw, boudin balls, etc. I ordered their medium shrimp and liked it. It was breaded and fried and it came with way more than expected- about 20+ shrimp.  Prices: everything is pretty close to $12-25 for dinner items depending on what you get. For 2 people at dinner: medium shrimp w fries, 4 boudin balls, fish strips w fries and 2 soft drinks it was $45. I do think their crawfish is way too expensive $7/lb in February 2022 where other local crawfish stops are closer to $5.50-6.00/lb.  Service: Very friendly, comfortable and made sure we had everything we needed.  Overall, a good experience. We will return.

So good! The food is so fresh and prepared perfectly! I had the raw oysters and fried mushrooms. Husband had the shrimp burger. All of it was fresh and absolutely delicious. The food was out quick. Service was attentive and sweet. Overall, a really great dining experience!

Excellent place to go for seafood, they never miss. I always make sure to stop in during crawfish season and get some étouffée, and the shrimp version is just as good when crawfish aren't available. I recommend getting a platter if you haven't been here before.

If I only ordered the oysters I would have given them 4 stars. The oysters were fresh and pretty large. The steamed shrimp was not fresh and was overcooked or reheated and was not good.

Love this place. Sean was our server again, and he was fantastic yet again. I asked so many questions of him and he was so courteous and made us feel right at home. Everything we ordered was delicious and very much to our liking. The food is excellent, but the service was exceptional, definitely have to brag on our server tonight!! It’s been 9 years. We were stationed here before. Love this place. The service was fast. Foods are great and it’s always nice to visit this place. Crews are friendly and price are reasonable.
