Your satisfaction is our goal and we'll work hard to earn your five-star review! We provide dollies (flat and upright), rope, shrink wrap, power and hand tools, to safely secure your belongings into and out of the truck. We are equipped to move washers, dryers, pianos*, freezers, filing cabinets, you name it, we move it!

STEEL CITY MOVERS strongly recommends the rental of "moving blankets," also called furniture pads. These are available at most Truck Rental facilities. Without furniture pads, we cannot guarantee the safe arrival of your glass, mirrors, or wood furniture.


AVAILABILITY:

Presently, we are available for Moving Services all seven days of the week, subject to availability. Please CALL US before booking a rental truck, so we can reserve your time and book your move.

*Piano moving requires additional manpower. Call for piano moving fee.

**We cannot offer discounts on Truck Rentals, as we have to go through a Truck Rental service such as UHaul, Budget, or Penske. Since we do not control the pricing of the rental truck, it is impossible for us to offer a discount.

Seriously, the best moving experience I've ever had. I had a tight moving deadline, with a preference for earlier in the morning. Unfortunately the only times available were later in the evening. But hey, beggars can't be choosers, right? So I went with it. They assured me that if a morning spot opened they would give me priority on that. Lo and behold, I got a call that a morning slot opened, and they gave me a time that worked better for my schedule. The morning of the move, Graham and his team were ahead of schedule and called to see if I was ready to go. (heck yes I was) Not only did he and his team show up promptly - but they absolutely CRUSHED the move. Seriously, they had our belongings moved out of our old place and into the new in less than 2 hours. The last movers we used took 4... These guys are the best at what they do, and have the reputation that they do for a reason. If you're moving, go with Steel City Moving.

Steel City Movers did a great job on my in-town Pittsburgh move. Tony and his crew were professional, on time, and worked quickly while doing a great job. Whenever there were issues, like parking the truck in my neighborhood, they sorted it out and made things work. They really took all the hassle out of it for me. My move involved loading up four rooms of furniture and boxes into a U-Haul and driving it across town to the ABF/U-Pack terminal where they transferred it all to a trailer for the long haul. The terminal attendant, who deals with moving every day, complimented Tony's team on how well they packed the truck and encouraged them to work with U-Pack more often. The original time estimate was for five hours; I thought it would take at least seven; the team did it all in less than four. (It would have been less if I hadn't gotten lost on the way to the terminal and held things up.) They also saved me money by organizing my stuff in the trailer so it took up less space. All in all, a great job that saved me time, money and hassle.

It's hard to find well reviewed moving companies so I wanted to be sure to write a review. These guys were great, came on time, worked the entire time without wasting any of it, were very careful with everything and finished in way under the estimated time which made the price much lower than estimated. They were friendly and hard working and priced lower than most other companies. I will definitely use them again when I move.

I just used Steel City Movers for the second move in the past two years and had another wonderful experience with them. I inquired both times with other local moving options, but the prices at Steel City Movers could not be beat. Their online estimate calculator was thorough and I was able to clarify preferences over the phone with their friendly office staff after the estimate was sent. On the day of the move, the movers were exactly on time. They all introduced themselves and were very friendly. They were very efficient and packed the truck much faster than we anticipated. They provided all the necessary wrapping and padding for bigger furniture. Overall, the move took less time than we anticipated and went very smoothly. It was so convenient to have Steel City Movers rent the truck for the move as well. This was my second move with this company and I already plan to use them for my next. Highly recommended!
