Its a shame that such a nice place doesn't have the service to match. Its a really nice spot for a beer, if you could just get one brought to you. I wish these places would pony up and hire some professional experienced service staff. Should never have to wait 20 mins for a beer at a beer hall. 3 tables and this guy was "swamped". Also a server should never touch your glass by the brim, yo my lips need to go there pal!!! A professional would know this!!!

(Full disclosure- my husband and I have extensive experience brewing beer on the craft industrial scale in Colorado) Had lunch here on a Sunday late afternoon. The ambiance was quite nice and as others have mentioned, the high backed chairs add a regal element to certain tables. The food was decent (chinese chicken salad and fish and chips) but the beers were lackluster. Quite literally nothing to say about them. They say their red ale was a GABF gold winner but tellingly don't mention what year. The cask conditioned ale was probably the best beer we had but even that was kinda meh. It was nice to explore but we probably won't be back.

Service wasn't too bad, kids' meals are good value. We got the Soba noodles, it had great flavor. Also got the fish and chips...fish and Cole slaw were both pretty bland. Steelhead cheeseburger was good. Ambiance is great, space is open and trendy, but on a hot day like today with temps in the high 80s, it was really warm inside. If prefer to give 3.5 🌟, but that's not an option.

Beer is good, surroundings good. Food is plentiful and quite reasonably priced if a little unrefined. Service excellent and friendly. Have visited twice and it's been good both times.

Come here once a week for 10 years. The place is awesome. Great service, good beer, good grub and pool tables in the back room
