Sales are great, but customer service on the sales floor is lacking. It shows that some of the workers are not passionate about pleasing their guests. Great clearance section. Some of the departments are very limited in what is offered. Nice furniture and home goods, just a little too high-end in price in comparison to other department store retailers.

Great service and tidy , good clothes and prices. I had to return something and it was no problem. I gave 4 stars because they didn't have a children's department

Store well organized! Lots of merchandise Oops, I like shopping at steinmart! Went in there because of a special sale, purchased some items, when I got home I found several of the items had some faults. Stitching coming lose, neck stretched out, and size was irregular. Took them back to exchange or get other items, was told they were "Sold As is, I had not seen a sign, or wasn't told. So now I am out money for items I will not be able to use.....it sux
