Everyone was very nice. From the people who did billing to the encouraging surgery aids to the well tempered doctor dr.stevenson. My 8 year old son needed 4 teeth taken out for overcrowding and I was an emotional wreck. (The last time my son was getting a needle in the arm he dodged it a few times and finally grabbed the nurses wrist and we were trying to hold him down but he is strong.) I like that the doctor told him how many shots he was going to need and where he was going to insert them so he wouldn't be surprised. So after I talked him through it, nothing was unexpected. My son said he barely felt the needles and extractions. (He did the nitrous oxide and needles) And that the doctor didn't coddle him but moved quickly and calmly at the same time. And my son said he was glad he did it that way because it was over faster. He had a good experience. Glad it's over though!!! It was also nice that the doctor called later that evening to see how he was doing.

Let me start by saying I've been to several dentist before Stevenson and got Novocain about 10 times before here. This was the first time the shot did not hurt! Despite the fact that I had a root curled up under another tooth this was the best dentist experience I've ever had.

Dr Fairchild, the assistants and the front office staff were all very professional and very kind. They referred me to an ENT and even made the appointment.

this is the best oral surgeon I have ever been to and I've been to about 4 different ones in NJ... Last week I had to have 5 top front teeth removed due to decay from not going to a dentist (years ago, in NJ, I had a dentist who was a butcher, so now I have a uncontrollable fear)... I was in a lot of pain and Dr. Stephen Fairchild was the most understand and informative Surgeon I've ever met... the entire staff was kind and compassionate, but also thorough and diligent.... I have NEVER left an oral Surgeon's office and been able to talk and smile, except for here... Dr. Stephen Fairchild called me later that night to check on me and see how I was doing, unfortunately I was sleeping, because I was so scared the night before I didn't sleep but maybe 1 hour... I absolutely LOVE this man and the staff... oh, I had to go back today (1 week after the surgery), because I have a dry socket from sneezing (allergies) and he was awesome, yet again! If you are reading this, looking for a great Oral Surgeon and live near Merrillville Indiana, PLEASE go to see this man, you will NOT regret it!

The surgeons are the most condescending people you will ever meet. Unless you like being talked don to as a patient don't go here. If the doctor doesn't like a concern that you have he ill wait until you are coming don from the anesthesia to talk to you about it so that it is an easy win for him. Overall, don't go here if you want people who actually care.
