Good old school good quality. We had the burger & fries with a soda float, and fish & chips with a milk shake, all quality & really good. The older woman at the counter gave good vibes. Prices were reasonable.
It's been quite a while since I have set foot in a Stewart's. The one on Route 27 south of New Brunswick has been at its location for 40 years...maybe more. It still looks the same and still has car service the server puts a tray with your food on your rolled down window. They also have takeout but while they have stools inside it does not appear that they offer inside dining. We arrived just before closing at 8pm. The workers were very accommodating. I had the Philly cheese steak for $11 which was delicious...loads of peppers, onions and melted American cheese with a generous portion of meat on a long roll. The hotdog $4 with the works was excellent but the roll was bland and somewhat mushy. The fries were hot and tasty, again a generous portion. It took about 10 minutes for the meal to be prepared. Of course I had to have the Root Beer which was just as good as I remembered. Go if you have the chance. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Prices were good, service was prompt, and the ice cream was soooo creamy and flavor rich. Would go back!
Me and a friend of mine visited here 3 weeks ago and the service was disgusting. I could see inside the kitchen and they were touching the hot dogs bare hand after touching the door knobs, counter tops and other things. On top of that, the cashier was muttering his words had trouble understanding him. He also tried to charge me twice, luckily before he put my card back in I checked my credit card charges and showed them that they already charged me… Very disappointing service..
Great customer service & fresh food. The lady does a great job at taking care of you as if you are one of her own. Loved the vintage style of this Stewart’s & would definitely stop by again. :

SOUTH BRUNSWICK NJ LOCATION Their ROOT BEER and fries are the BEST it has a smooth sweet taste. If you are really hungry the food will fill you up
These always look empty but they have some amazing food! The non bottled sodas can probably use an update but everything else was great.
I went there for the cheese steak sandwich. It's still one of my favorite items from them.Food: 5/5
