I much preferred the reasonable and friendly prior owner 2 the new one. It's still a nice space, but again, due 2 the hard work of the owner before the current one. She worked hard and found quality art 4 me at a time when I did not have a lot of money in public service. The new owner, whatever her name is, doesn't seem to be finding the same following among people I've spoken 2 locally, but who knows? maybe business is good and she is hopefully creating jobs somehow. Unfortunately really, I wanted 2 like the new owner in the same way. But I definitely do Not. Oh well. Life goes on...

Still Life Gallery is a wonderful gem located on Main Street in Ellicott City!  I absolutely love this gallery and highly recommend that you check it out!!!  The owners are so welcoming, knowledgeable, and gracious.  Their passion for art and support of the local arts community are certainly reflected in Still Life Gallery's inviting and creative ambiance.  The gallery itself is a work of art - from its beautiful glass window display of hand crafted creations and jewelry to its eclectic exhibits of wonderful art.  I love viewing the rotating shows and attending the fun receptions.  Next time you are in Ellicott City, stop by this gallery. It will be worth your time!!!

What a great gallery space. Once inside Still Life Gallery, you will see fine art, jewelry and smaller affordable pieces.  What draws my attention is the quality and uniqueness of the art. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share in the vision of the gallery owners and their artists. Artists with local and national reputations are represented.  It is a gift to have a local gallery showing good original art to the public.  Still Life Gallery should be visited frequently.

First, let me say, I love old town Ellicott City and everything about historic main street.  The collection of shops and restaurants are truly unique and part of what makes Howard County such a great place to live.  One of the jewels of historic EC is Still Life Gallery.  Sara (the owner) does a fantastic job of promoting local artists of all different styles and mediums.  From her selection of jewelry to her sculptures and fine works of art, I always look forward to stepping through the door of her shop.  Each time I do, there is something new and unique - in my mind thats the mark of a great owner.  Recently the Pop Art Poe display really grabbed my attention.  Kudos to Sara and her team for bringing in such cool locally relevant art.  I've been to several exhibits at her shop and always found the "vibe" to be easy going and welcoming, never stuffy and always a ton of fun.

Today I discovered the Still Life Gallery in Ellicott City.  Lots of lovely types of art and some interesting jewelry too.  Susan is the owner and I had a short conversation with her but found her to be interested in promoting local artists which I like very much.  I will definitely look here for art gifts and small art for my own home.  As an aside, check out the adorable mice (not real) that live here and you might even take one home with you- makes me smile to see the little guy I adopted.  I think the Still Life is a positive for EC.
