Story

Stormwater Maintenance & Consulting (SMC) is comprised of two business entities with common ownership and shared resources. Stormwater Consulting, Inc., (SCI) is a design and consulting firm that specializes in stormwater-related engineering and landscape architecture services. Stormwater Maintenance, LLC (SWM) is a niche construction firm that performs maintenance, repair, and retrofit construction of all types of stormwater systems. Collectively, the firms are an industry leader in the application of contemporary stormwater management theory to real-world practice. Our in-house expertise ranges from an in-depth understanding of computational and design methodology and plan preparation to full implementation that includes construction, inspection, maintenance, and life cycle repairs. We work with all types of stormwater practices including large traditional facilities and emerging micro-scale techniques. Progressive thought and many years of experience have yielded a group of specialized professionals with a keen understanding of what it takes to develop practical solutions in the highly constrained circumstances that are the new normal for repair and retrofit projects.

Founded in 2002, we are dedicated to minimizing stormwater-related impacts to the environment with practices and policies that are grounded in common sense, constructability, and long-term sustainability. Both firms are MDOT certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises / Minority Business Enterprises (DBE/MBE).
