Story

We are the Stowe, Vermont vacation rentals specialists. The area's most established agency, Stowe Country Homes has been in business since 1979 and offers unique Stowe vacation homes from luxurious to cozy, slopeside lodging, condominiums, ski chalets, log cabins and so much more, for the perfect vacation experience!

Our offices are open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. From July 1 to April 15 we are open Saturdays 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

We are closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day, July 4 and Labor Day.

Never again will I rent through this company. Luckily Aribnb and Stowe mountain lodge were able to help me. When I checked it they didn't have my reservation. Being that I came in after hours I double checked and confirmed everything with my host stowe country homes. They confirmed that everything will be set to go. When I arrived I called the emergency line but there was no help. Eventually I was able to get into the room that I paid for. After the ordeal I was never called back from Alison the owner. I left a message for someone to get back to me and spoke with Nancy asking for someone to give me an explanation. I felt scammed that they never got back to me. When I finally requested a partial refund for my aggravation and embarrassment that was when I finally got a response from the Airbnb Specialist Aleks who told me to stop harassing her. Wow! I was shocked and appalled how unprofessional this business was after I paid 4 months in advance and received no customer service whatsoever. In the end, I don't think I could bring myself to ever deal with these people again, it almost ruined my entire trip. I'd rather pay more and have the security that I won't be dealing with such amateurs.

Beautiful homes but horrible management team. They booked us in a house without informing the owner. The owner's family was living in the house. When we arrived (which was late in the night) the person living there walked out with a gun on us. He had no idea about Stowe Country Home renting the house. We were terrified (living in NYC never been in a situation where someone walked out with a gun on us). 

We called Stowe Country Homes' emergency number and they treated it like an everyday matter. Even after us telling them that someone was in the house we rented, we have a gun situation and they risked our lives, they didn't seem to care much and said everyone had guns in Vermont. 

The emergency contact called us back and said the owner was not informed about our booking and they will find an alternate accommodation for us. The emergency contact did not know the location of this new house and trespassed on another couple of properties trying to find the right house. As you can imagine we did not want to be in the vicinity when he was trying his key in every door. All this went on for a couple of hours before we were provided an alternate accommodation. 

The experience ruined our trip, and Stowe Country Homes wished us a great stay in Stowe and congratulated on the upgraded house! It felt like this was all a joke to them! 

When we asked for a refund, they said we were able to resolve the issue and got you a place to stay so we will only refund a part of your payment.

Such a pleasant experience.  Homes was beautiful.  Had some minor issues which was rectified in a timely matter.  Will use them again when returning to Stowe!!
